How kind!, how very, very kind......
Posted: Fri Feb 11, 2011 6:54 pmof Sammy to lend us (Torquay) Accy, He has been very impressive in the two games that he has played & looks an extreamly competent player at L2 level. I just hope that we are able to afford to keep him, if Sammy does not want him back, I expect he is on "big bucks".
At 27 he falls into the veteran category, most of the rest of our team have just started shaving

It seems that he is a favorite at Morecambe, & most of you are are well pi##ed off at the prospect of losing him.
Torquay have not tried him out with corners or free kicks yet as they have their own "specialist", but I gather that he is "a class act" at dead ball kicking.
From the two matches I have seen Accy play it seem most unfair calling him " sideways Stanley" as most of his sideways passes were inch perfect, & to the wingers, who collected & ran, or passed the ball forward. He also demonstrated that he can pass a ball through the opositions defence, & is not afraid to pass back if there are no other options. Torquay like to keep the ball, & play on the deck where possible.
I think that the smaller clubs like ourselves will have to get used to selling of loaning out players before new players can be brought in. Torquay have, since Christmas moved 4 players out (sold or sent back to home club) & 3 in. Gilligan has just been loaned from Northampton. The posters on their site reckon that he is not good enough for a big club like theirs, but should do very well at Torquay!
Hope K.C. is playing well for you, a lot of Torquay fans were sorry to see him go, but like I said above, it's all about ballancing the books. Don't worry about not getting Wroe, he is a brilliant player on his day, but seldom preforms at this level. Best of luck for the remainder of the season.
