I'm sure it's coincidental but ever since I had the flu jab in late November I've been ill.

First with the usual cold , that developed into bronchitis. And now, following a recent chest x-ray as the bronchitis wasn't going away, I've been told that my lungs are scarred as the result of having pneumonia.

Has anybody else been ill or know of elder relatives or friends who have been feeling unwell following their jab?

My mother-in-law who also had the vaccine has been ill with flu which is most unusual for her as viruses usually take a wide de-tour in her presence!

I know one thing...never again again!

I've had a flu jab for the last 4 years (qualify due to having asthma) and I've never had any ill-effects. In fact, as my work colleagues have dropped like flies with flu over Christmas and into this month, I've not had a single sniffle.

In my office quite a few people who had the flu jab, had really bad flu. I was one of the few who did stay healthy, and the majority of those who did didn't have a jab. Of course age comes into it, ie the ones who remained healthy were all under 25, whilst everybody who got it was a lot nearer retirement age.

I've had the generally pissing people off with forthright views jab. I'm now mentally ill.

I'm entitled to a jab (asthma), but I won't have one.
If you're going to catch a cold then you're going to catch a cold.
Dress sensibly, use commonsense, try and stay away from crowded places (the North Terrace is alright ), use medicated hand gel often, use tissues instead of a hankie.
Drinking out of a glass in a pub is asking for trouble.

My Dad (63) had the jab this year for the first time and for the first time in 10 years got Flu and missed most of Christmas.

partridges are immune to flu, i eat one every october to ward it off.
