It would seem Preston North End have asked for the Fans message board to be taken off line while they search for a Manager

I wonder if I mention that on Radio Lancashire this morning they were on about Phil Brown having been interviewed for the job it might hamper his prospects of getting the job or "them getting their man" ??!!!!

"The supporters of this football club are some of the most knowledgeable in the country and like them I want to see the club progress and I hope to be a part of a successful Preston North End."

Really :o

He has obviously never listened to Radio Lancs.

If PNE won 9 games on the trot and drew the 10th they would still be complaining.

They seem to think they have a right to be in the Premiership.

Exactly.

There was one absolute, how can I put it, MORON on Radio Lancashire tonight who simply said, "What rhymes with Brown ? Down. What a bad appointment."

Hang on. Phil Brown is a BAD appointment for a club which is (most probably) already down?

Preston fans, like you say, are always on the whinge and are NEVER, EVER happy. I know, I have the misfortune to work with a number of them.

And, this is the SAME Phil Brown who took Hull City from the bottom of The Championship (when he took over at Hull) to The Premier League that SAME season !!!

How is THAT achievement a bad appointment for PNE ?

Incidentally, a certain Barrie Stimpson is good friends with Phil Brown as they are ex Hartlepool United teammates. Wouldn't be surprised if Stimmo ended up Scouting for him now.
