This should help you. The outlet near the ground is Meole Brace. The town centre is always very busy on a Saturday lunchtime but you can easily catch the bus from the town centre. We now share a taxi from town which needs to be booked in advance as getting around is difficult ad the ground is over 2 miles away.

We tried to get on a park & ride bus once. But they wouldn't let us on cos we hadn't parked the car! Offered the driver the parking fee but no deal. Anyway when can we expect to see you again, Gillingham?

You are right Sammy. The Charles Darwen, or the one we took over last season by the roundabout

Shoot!! and there's me thinking you were having a dig

If you are 5th in the League playing the leaders, it is a big game. If you are 19th playing bottom it is MASSIVE!

Arsenal are Goo.g to score in a minute!!

Park in the park & ride near Sainsbury's - Meole Brace or whatever its called - its no more than 10 mins walk to the ground(down to the roundabout & turn right-easy-or better still turn left cross the bridge and have a pint first :D ) but beware its a nightmare to get out of after the game as you have all the football traffic fighting with all the traffic coming off the retail park - took half an hour last season but after that 3-2 win and fantastic atmosphere it flew by!

Or you could go on organised transport and be taken directly to the door at the ground.

There was some cracking footage on YouTube of last seasons David Artell winning goal at Shrewsbury taken by one of our fans from the away end.

**WEATHER UPDATE!**
Severe weather warning for Shropshire in place today. Currently snowing and is murder to drive on (just been out)
BUT
forecast rain this afternoon and forecast that this rain will clear the snow. Saturday forecast is mild temperatures with a little chance of some rain. Sunday (although you wont be bothered), dry and mild.
Parking
1) As already stated somewhere on this forum: Meole Brace retail park is easy to find, close to the ground and Brooklands pub but murder to get out of................................'if you don't no how'!. If parking here, go into the retail park and right at the roundabout then left into Toys R Us car park. Top tip: Park here and then walk behind Sainsburys and here you will find a tunnel under the railway and path straight to the stadium.
2) Alternatively and i never told you this ;) At the big Meole Brace roundabout (Brooklands pub just off it) head towards the stadium by road but immediatley after leaving the roundabout and as you rise to go over the railway bare left down a slip road into the municipal golf club and Bannatynes gym car park. First thing that will hit you is the no football parking. Ignore it. I'm a member so i no that no one checks and they don't keep reg numbers or have permits. Park here and you're in sight of the stadium and Brooklands pub whilst Bannatynes also has a licenced cafe for a nice bite to eat, beer or a coffee including none members. Just to be on the safe side if you're going to park here but not use the cafe, park and then walk towards the entrance and then turn around again just incase on this rare occasion they are watching. During the week this car park is choker but at weekends nearly empty.
Edit
9.40hrs: Has stopped snowing!
Shrewsbury Town FC update
They have today signed in readiness for tomorrows game 20yr old Striker James Collins on a 18mth permanent deal from Aston Villa. He was on loan at Burton where he scored 5 in 11 games and if i remember rightly is quite a player and Burton must now be gutted as it sounds as though he's done the dirty on them at the last minute;
http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/sport ... ticle.html
Mat Sadler currently on loan from Watford has also extended his loan until the end of the season.
