Save the Shrimps, Sammy out!

Save the Shrimps, Sammy out!

Postby Peckishparrish13 » Mon Jan 03, 2011 11:30 am

I know i am going to get a lot of abuse for putting this, but i think i have finally had enough of Sammy! In fairness he has been a very good manager, even getting us to the football league was a massive achievement, and getting into the League 2 play-offs was also massive! But this season, his tactics for matches have been ludricous and our formations have been terrible, espically the 3-5-2 against Accrington. Playing Paul Mullin was a bad decision, he may be good in the air, but he cant run for his life! If we get poor results in our next 2 matches (Stockport away, Shrewsbury away) i and friends will protest to get Sammy out if he is not sacked by the torquay game. If you to would like to protest, make your own Sammy out banner and bring to the game.

I WOULD LIKE TO STRESS THAT THIS IS NOT A CONFIRMED PROTEST! It will only take place before the match by holding up Sammy out banners as the team enter the pitch if we get bad results in our next 2 away games!

Thanks for listening!

You're right he has become a bad manager overnight we should appoint our resident genius Marky as temporary manager, with CC as assistant.

Sod off and let us get on with supporting the club (players and management alike) down in Stockport today.

Not something I'd support, Superstanners13. Whilst I and others have little or no confidence in Sammy's ability to turn things round this time, I don't think waving banners requesting his removal from his job as players run out will achieve anything (and also isn't fair on the players themselves). No, let the results do the talking and I'm confident the board will make the right decsion.

Whilst I'm no fan of Sammy there is no way that I could condone such childish action. I may prefer a change if results continue to go against us, but it is the ultimate decision of the Board as to whether a change is needed.

I'm not going to say anything about this because it would get me in to trouble, let's just say those banners wouldn't be held up for very long, sickening.

MAYBE SOME BANNERS, FLAGS AND NOISE LIKE ACCY, SUPPORTING SAMMY AND THE TEAM WOULD BE MORE CONSTRUCTIVE

Support the Shrimps!

Postby Peckishparrish13 » Mon Jan 03, 2011 7:01 pm

Well, after thinking hard, im changing my protest into a maximum effort to give support to the team. My friend is still not sure, but i am going to bring a flag and chant extra loud to give our boys the boost they need. Sammy could be part of the reason for our teams dip in form, but our boys may just need a boost thourgh out the match to help them enjoy playing for the club. Thank you for convinceing me guys!

you dont have to support the manager, but you can still support the players? this is a result business so if SM wants a new contract he will have to earn one.

ps i think his contract is up this summer ?

I'm one of the lucky ones. It was just so pleasing today after all the crap muttered over the last few days to see 300 Morecambe fans in a confined area jumping up and down, singing, clapping, supporting and generally having a great day from start to finish. Some have to swim the channel to support their team and I am in awe of that.

Great to see energy aimed in the right direction :D

To be fair, there was plenty of "pro-Sammy" support on New Year's Day and we were still garbage.
I'm not too certain "Sammy Out" banners are the way forward, but then Bare Bens comments is also pretty dumb.

I can only say that the fact his comments looked fine to you says far more about you than it does me.
"Yeah wow" really is the very best you two can do isn't it? All those years of education and this is what the result is. Perfect.
