I feel sorry for him, Peterbourgh should never have sacked him, two succesive promotions and then 1 relegation, BANG he is sacked, thats not right at all.
Best of luck to him. Hope he finds a new job soon. He is a good manager.

brian laws sacking is not as surprising as his apointment in the first place, ferguson had a lot to spend in the two years he took peterborough up and preston are in meltdown, funnily enough, laws could do worse than apply for the preston job, as when burnley expected the worst after coyle, he delivered

Fergie only got job cos his dad and Hemmings go horse racing together and theres an endless supply of 2nd class loanees available. Thats why Irvine was elbowed out so quickly. He was just another example of idiot appointments by the board such as Craig Brown , Billy "liar" Davies , Simpson and Fergie. Expect more strange decisions now Maurice Lindsey is chairman.

I don't want or need any credit for my opinion, if you'd like to clamber out of the "fregusons" backsides and read the article I posted you will maybe see what childish is.

CC is right Ben. Just because you are a Liverpool fan you automatically dislike Mr Ferguson. No need to call him a t***.
Mick McCarthy on the other hand. Hero.

Stuart McCall has got the Motherwell job as he know's the English lower leagues, and therefore summing up how crap Scottish football is! I honestly think Morecambe would be pushing for 3rd place in the SPL if we swapped.

I see sir alex has recalled his loan players early, now that is mature, suddenly preston is a bad place now darren cannot impart his wisdom on them
Imagine if DF got a job at bare rangers, they would be fantastic

[quote="Christies Child"]Paul Jewell will be installed as PNE's latest manager within the next 72 hours due to his relationship with Lindsey when both where at Wigan........I think
Lindsey was already out of Wigan rugby and at superleague headquarters by then having consistently "flirted" with the salary cap limits at wigan.
Early return of loanees backs up my comments about Fergie snr. buying his son the job through tapping Hemmings. I heard from source inside club that was "upset" over Irvines treatment.

Fergie Jr did well at a well-funded Peterborough Utd over 3 years, then came to grief at crisis-ridden and cash strapped PNE over 12 months.
So basically he needs to be at a rich club to wheel and deal effectively like his Dad,
or be able to operate superbly on a shoe-string like Eddie Howe at Bournemouth.
Good or bad manager ? To early to tell yet as he's been both so far in his early career.
Oh and I also smiled at Fergie Sr re-calling all the Man U loan players from PNE. Nice touch !

Find this rumour quite a strange one any Wigan Athlectic fan will tell you Lindsey was not all that popular with the towns football team due to his close connections with the rugby. Would be supprised if PJ got or even wanted the job.
