Can't see them opening another block if we only go a few over, both Clubs know home 'fans' will fill it.

There's plenty of hawkers selling tickets on line and Chelsea daytrippers are already in our end

Maybe I used the wrong word, what i mean is people who are in London for a break and have the opportunity of watching a match at a Premier League ground that they normally wouldn't be able to get tickets for and for a much cheaper price

Last block of about 300 tickets. So we've probably sold around 2700. Let's hope we sell out over the next two weeks.

Bought mine the first day they went on sale but not received yet. Does anyone know when they are due to be sent out?

I think you collect from the shop unless you paid for postage. I think they printed the first batch of sales and will probably do another batch for collection at the tranmere match

With living away I paid for postage. We’ll be over for the Tranmere game so if they haven’t arrived by then I’ll ask at the ticket office.

Tamworth are charging £42 seats and £38 terracing for their home Fa Cup tie against Spurs

And some people think £34 is a lot for Chelsea

Don't blame them, they will sell out anyway, they would have rather played at Spurs for £20 a ticket and coined a lot more in

Remember Ipswich fans kicking off when we charged them £20 in 2001? We had to sweaten the deal with a free pie for everyone of them.

Lots of Tamworth fans not happy with the prices calling it a rip off of loyal fans. Some saying they will just watch on the TV then go back for league games! It's out of order doubling prices, probably get plenty of armchair supporters paying it though.
Don't worry be happy!

You have to look at the bigger picture. It's a one off game that could change Tamworths future if they reinvest the money properly. It could help get them to the FL if they buy the right players or reinvest in the infrastructure. Depends on what sort of owner they have I guess :(

Only 37 tickets left so heading for a sell out. Tremendous effort.

I ask again has anyone who requested postal delivery of tickets actually received them yet.(No reply to phone calls to the ticket office last couple of days and no information anywhere about anticipated dispatch dates). I was hoping to receive them and hand them over to Southern based family members today on their visit up North. Just in case our wonderful train staff decide to cancel trains down south on the 11th Jan and we can't get there. This would be alongside other dates they are already on strike. Avanti managers are now on strike on every Sunday till May because £300 for working a rest day isn't enough for them. Greedy bastards! I think they want parity with train drivers who get £600 for working a rest day. :o

Why can't we just have a train service like the majority of the rest of the world. i.e. Runs on time, no cancellations and reasonable fares! Rant over.

When I’m trying to get my booked train back from London on Sunday 12th only to find it cancelled I would gladly tell them what I think of them. That’s if I could find one of the bloodsuckers. However seeing as they are now on strike I think that’s unlikely don’t you? I know you work for the railways in some capacity so what is your opinion of these continual strikes, regular service cancellations and excessive fares considering the rank bad service provided? Are they not paid enough when they already get £300 for working a rest day? Provide a decent service and it may be warranted but currently I don’t think there will be many rail travellers with any sympathy for them whatsoever!

I already have a ticket booked for train on the Sunday

If Avanti don't run can my ticket be used on another company like East Coast or London Midland

With all due respect I come on here because it's a Morecambe FC forum first and foremost, for which we all have a common interest. As much as I know it's frustrating for some people when their travel plans are disrupted, it's also not pleasant to see people in unrelated jobs being vilified so much, particularly as a number of them are also loyal MFC fans... It's a small world indeed. I hope you get your ticket and I hope your train runs, but I'll stick to football on here and hope that any negativity expressed towards railway employees (or anyone for that matter) on here stays on here and that, face to face, they are treated with the same reasonable respect you'd treat anyone just doing their job.

Agree 100% with you. Until the various rail Unions get what they want, and that day is getting rapidly closer, then they'll continue pushing and making life as difficult as they can. I can't see anywhere where you are making a personal dig either.

No personal slight intended John L just a frustrated outburst at SOME train staff who appear to treat the paying public with total contempt. I've booked match tickets, hotel for Saturday and paid for train tickets returning on Sunday. Then SOME Avanti staff announce a strike starting on that Sunday which will no doubt cause cancellations and disruption. I thought Labour had recently given them a big chunk of money and it was all sorted only to find this strike is about obtaining more money. When will it end?

Despite suffering mobility problems at the moment I'm determined to be at the game but really could do without jumping through hoops on the Sunday due to struggling with a hip injury. I've learnt my lesson this time and I won't be using rail travel again until it returns to some semblance of normality and reliability. But I won't be holding my breath on that one.

Just a thought Red Alert. We've paid for tickets on the Sunday to travel from Euston back home. If trains are cancelled can we then use those tickets for LNER from Kings Cross and onward travel?

Long shot but thought I'd ask.

Different Unions I'm afraid, and one can't work without the other, so although Drivers can say "we're not to blame", that doesn't help the general public who have paid a lot of money for an efficient and comfortable service. A lot of very justified bad feeling has been brewing for a long time.

I would imagine you can use your ticket on a different route, but the knock-on effect is that all services that are running will be very busy and uncomfortable.

Good luck.
