SALE of the club.!!!!

I saw my first game when I was eight and I'm officially an OAP in a couple of months, so a supporter for a long time. I don't envisage a time when I will ever fall out of love with the club but fully understand why people do for a myriad of reasons. At the moment times are hard (mainly due to the dodge pots who've owned the club since 2017ish) but ALL clubs have ups and downs it's just a cyclical thing. We've lost our identity in so much as back in the day we were well and truly non-league playing in front of a few hundred folk. We've morphed into something much bigger and with that I guess it gets less homely when there are thousands on. As for passion I haven't lost it, it's just that it's hard to feel it when we keep losing games. When I no longer get that buzz and sense of anticipation on match days it might be time to give it up, but it hasn't happened yet.

Well put Phoenix I feel exactly the same

Watched the club since 1979 but it doesn't feel the same due to all the issues with ownership

IF we were to fall out of the football league it would be a disaster and that would be down to the current problems and nothing else

Hopefully this mess gets sorted but just can't see anything changing ... I would be surprised if Mr Momi buys the club and if the EFL have even received more paperwork

Still live in hope but as a lifelong fan of 46 years that hope is gradually dwindling away

Who else is losing their passion for the club?
This club isn't the one that got me hooked on in the early 90s. I continually go to games but I don't feel part of something special anymore.
Jason has ripped the heart out of the club.
Fans are arguing with each other and (my opinion) the board have created an us and them situation with the fans. The truth is we've lost our identity.

Unfortunatley i'm with you Hodgie. Still go every home game , but no longer wake up on a Saturday thinking, great it's footie day.

I started loosing it years ago prob ever since we moved to the mazuma and it all became about money and survival. Don't get me wrong there has been some better times over the years and the league 1 years broke up the tediousness of it for a while.

I've been doing a lot of non league groundo this season and it's been great fun! I saw Lancaster get beat by Longridge on pens Tuesday night it was brilliant!!!

I just find it bonkers that to own a small league 2 club you really need to be a multimillionaire which makes you feel a bit disinchanted about everything.

Jason Quote:- “A sale will happen whether it is with the existing buyer or an alternative one”

Phew, he can put you through it, what the hell, the nightmare continues.

Jason Q&A’s with the Trust, it seems robotic in the answers!!

We learnt nothing from it except it’s robotic :? :?

We cannot expect to learn anything from it except that it's rubbish.

How do you know Whittingham is lying?
You can see his lips move.

I've not even bothered to read it.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Good you feel that way, I suspect your like me you like to watch live football. I been to all kinds of levels of football you have good games that are really good then you have the rubbish, you take what comes.

If Morecambe stay in the EFL all well and good, if they drop out, let’s hope that they are in a position to stop the downward spiral they are in.

Let’s hope they can consolidate around a new owner, who ever that may be and recruit a squad that is competitive be it League 1 or the National League.

As long as we are watching good live football I hope all Morecambe supporters decide to stick with the Club.

Well done to the Trust for their efforts and for being able to speak to the clown. We know how it works now though and this is no different to the other times he has piped up. When he is under pressure he lifts his head, spouts a few meaningless lines to take the heat off and nothing changes. It is just a never ending game played by a prick of an owner who gets his kicks by having us all on strings.

He has us by the balls and you have to say he is good at what he does. The man is a virus.

If you look at past dodgy owners and clubs it's not ended well for most of them ...

Bury
Macclesfield
Scunthorpe

And to a lesser degree teams like Blackpool and Portsmouth who dropped to league 2 before fighting there way back

Billy bodger it's not even the standard of the footy I'm that interested in. I just love going to these random places getting a feeling for the club etc and just enjoying the trip out.

I have found I grow an affinity to certain clubs where there is just a really good community feel to it.

I stood with 20 Longridge fans on Tuesday night who lost their minds after beating Lancaster who are two divisions higher. The celebrations at the end between the team and fans was awesome, just reminded me of Morecambe back in the day.

It's just honest footy, honest lads giving it all even after a day's work and money hasn't yet taken over at that level.
