We have just drawn 1 of the biggest clubs in the world and some still not happy hey ho

Some folk are never happy. Could have been Lincoln away or similar. Superb draw can’t wait!

There's nothing wrong with Lincoln either... Lovely city! :)

Agreed but Sincil Bank would never fit 40,000 plus in!

It won't be either of those, as that would mean we're selected for TV coverage. Can't see that being the case. But, if it was, it would be a shed load more cash, so I'd take it.

It’s a pay day for Morecambe, 40,000 x £25 (average ticket price), gives a net revenue of £1M less costs, so we should get up to £400,000 at a rough guess.

A financial win for the Club, (or is that Mr Leech!).

(Chelsea’s revenue for a Premiership game is over £2M, so maybe a bit more!!).

Had a quick look and hotels in the vicinity of Stamford Bridge for that weekend are remarkably cheap at the moment. Can't imagine that will last when the various hotels twig that Chelsea are are now at home that weekend. Could do with knowing the date as soon as possible although they don't seem to rush these things. The clever money would be on a Saturday game but they put quite a few on a sunday too so not sure what the criteria are?

Fulham are at home as well, so both can't play at 3pm Saturday.
I was booking the hotel at the gate to Stamford Bridge where we have stayed before and it went to sold out before I could finish the process

Good point! We stopped at the Stamford Bridge hotel a few years ago. Couldn't even log onto their web site this evening, not sure what the issues are. Last time we parked in the car park under the stadium and the following morning were surrounded by Chelski players super cars. Frank Lampards right next to ours.

Yeah seen that. The hotel said you could use the swimming pool but the club wanted £25, lol

Can't remember the score last time but was,it when we took the lead through O Connor and then they brought the big boys on. Seem to recall that DA was the manager or is my mind playing tricks with me.

Excellent draw and a fewxwelcome pennies in the pot as well. Let's hope we get a few down there on the day. Good test for the Trust to organise travel.

Yep, afraid so! On Saturday, the first two which start at Lancaster at 5:13 and 6:59 run as normal, then it's TPE and Northern to get to and from the Avanti trains at Preston. Sunday it's buses north of Preston as you say.

"...is my mind playing tricks with me"...

Well, that was Spurs and this is Chelsea, and Stephen Robinson was manager, but otherwise, spot on.

Chelsea & Derek, was during COVID, so no fans. I think it was 4-0 but we missed a decent chance at 0-0.

The other two that scream to be on TV are City v Salford and Liverpool v Accy.

At least the match tonight is on Sky.

I did notice that Slew's goal was shown very briefly before the draw as well as Stockton's penalty.

Fulham v Watford: 23 miles
Morecambe v Chelsea: 255 miles

If they are just moving one game for police logistics, obviously, Fulham v Watford on a Friday night makes most sense as it is easiest for the fans.

So, Chelsea v Morecambe, Friday night, not on TV, obviously.

There are (I think) four 'live games'. Do the BBC have additional 'Red Button' coverage on the Sunday?
