Determined to sneak World Cup references in aren't you?

Ironically, even if whoever you were referring to had dual, French nationality, as many Moroccans do, they can't come and play in League One due to Brexit. There was a comment on Radio Blackburn, when Vincent Kompany was appointed to manage Burnley, where someone said "perhaps we'll see some decent Belgians coming to the club now", only to be reminded of Brexit, and that not being allowed.

Oh look, there's my foot... ...quick, pass me my gun!

Isn't there such a thing as a work permit?

But this is Keith's world where he can make things up, is never wrong and decides what we can talk about. He will try and tell us that this is the only true source of information with the biggest audience next.

All hail Keith Jong-un.

But this is Berlin Wailers world, where he can talk bollocks and still claim he's right.

I'm sure "anyone" can "apply" for a work permit, but not anyone can 'get' a work permit.

Prior to Brexit, any player, over 16 yrs old, who was a resident of an EU country, could sign for any British club. Outside of the EU, they needed a Work Permit. This was issued (or not) based on the number of international appearances and the level of competition [league] that they played in, as well as appearances in 'top' competitions. Now, those regulations apply to all non-UK players, over the age of 18yrs.

Ironically, Sam Allardyce, who supported Brexit, now whinges that it made it impossible for him to sign foreign players when he was managing WBA.

But I'm sure Berlin Wailer & Redrobbo could find a way to sign players for Morecambe, that eluded West Brom and Allardyce?

Justin Kluivert's transfer from Roma to Fulham was ended after he was refused a Work Permit, and Fulham lost their appeal. If only they'd had Berlin Wailer & Redrobbo managing their appeal...

I just asked if there was such a thing. Thanks for going to great lengths to do your research.

Yeah, but you actually said...

If you had just asked about the system, we could have had a sensible discussion, and I wouldn't have bothered with the sarcasm.

Wasn't one of the pluses of brexit the cutting of red tape?

When you say "pluses", did you actually mean "lies"?
