2-0 flattered them but it was anything but "WOEFUL". Not a huge gap in quality between a very wealthy club and a skint, bottom of the league side.

Glen Cooper said "they are the best side I've seen this season". Probably agree with that comment.

Nail on head for last night I think. That's why in the first half we were pressing and tackling and giving the Vegans problems with their natural game, but second half we couldn't keep it up 'cos legs had gone.

The only bit of your post that is proven. The rest is speculative, based on your opinion, as to what MIGHT have been said.
The only ones who know what WAS said, were in the dressing room.
What is discussed/ said to the players, has absolutely no direct correlation to being allowed by the opposition, or ability to carry it out to the letter.
Sundays big Prem game, a prime example.

Yes , got to agree with you RR.

I was really disappointed with the 2nd half last night. I thought once they had the lead then we would give it a go but no , it was the same pedestrian paced movement backwards and sideways and our only real chance fell to Steve Old who I wasn't expecting to blast it into the net. I only go to home matches these days for various reasons and I haven't seen Morecambe win since April. My continued support is being sorely tested at the moment.

It pains me to say this and i'm all for Jim and what he's achieved under exceptional circumstances but if Jim doesn't manage to get the increasingly crucial win at Stevenage on Saturday, then, sadly, both he and the board should re-evaluate their positions in taking the club forward.

Yes , it is a huge match for Jim on Saturday. A win would give breathing space with only one team going down this season. Defeat and who knows what the consequences could be :!: :!: :!:

I seem to recall that he wasn't the only one.

As the home team isn't it up to us to at least try and work an opponents goalkeeper.... :?:

Well I've heard it twice now and still can't get my head around some of JB's conclusions..... :o :o :o

We allowed them to dictate all the space in midfield by our total surrender in that area which enabled them to play their possession based game without any attempt from our lads to make them work for their deserved victory.

As I've mentioned before on here, attendance figures are usually based on tickets sold, not people in seats. That would include all season tickets regardless of whether people turn up or not. That's pretty standard for all teams I think.

No surprise on a weeknight the attendance looks lower than reported, probably a lot of people who couldn't go or choose to stay at home.

It's a fair enough accountancy practise to include all season ticket sales numbers in each EFL attendance figure. The club has received albeit a discounted amount for each seat or place on the terrace for every match.

I understand all that, but are you saying we have 400 season ticket holders who did not turn up last night? Not having that, the board just trying to make crowds look as though crowds are improving, just bullshit!

To me , and I know the Round Up Gang will take issue , watching last night's match it just seemed to me that Jim didn't believe we could win and sent them out to keep it tight for a 0-0 and if we had a narrow defeat he would regard that as a par result for a team of "cast-offs" as he calls them.

The first choice gang, guests of the first choice magazine, last nights sponsors, all stayed in the packed dining room for the duration of the match , on free drink, which ever one of them picked MOM was having a laugh, Tanner has no voice ,or confidence.

It's one way of filling "their" room on a Tuesday night. Free food and drink till half time, probably 10 out of 150 people actually went out to watch the football.

I like Tanner, he will go places, I can't see anyone with confidence on the pitch. It's not easy picking a stand out player this season.

The lad might not be the most vocal of players, but more often than not, his feet do the talking, showing his self confidence, playing in lge 2. No doubt, he will move on to a good level.

Tanner is technically very sound and looks like a real prospect. To say he isn't vocal enough is crazy. Are we really expecting a teenage loanee to be shouting and balling at a team filled with league experienced pro's? Crazy talk. As for confidence, he has joined a team at the foot of the footy league. Would you be happier if he was strutting about attempting flicks and tricks? Would you balls. You would be hammering him.

I thought Forest Green were a tidy side playing a neat passing game but I thought they lacked directness in front of goal and on a number of occasions they looked like they were wanting to walk the ball into the net. I am sure we will play better sides this season and I don't want us to hide behind an excuse that they were amazingly good. I feel it was more a case of our fitness levels being suspect and our vulnerability in defence. We continue to leave wide men unmarked and we continue to leak really soft goals due to a lack of mobility at the back.
