Her and one other contestant beat the chaser to win £7,000. Bit too late for Leighton as he passed away earlier this year.

Just been reading that Vadaine Oliver is on between 3k and 4k per week at Bradford (3 year contract)

That's what sort of thing we are up against in league 2

....and just another example of a player earning more than he is worth.....good luck to him but Bratford really are stupid paying him all that money just to sit on the bench.

People who keep going on about our lack of quality need to wake up and smell the coffee and realise what we're up against with teams like Bradford having huge budgets compared to ours and being able to pay the kind of wage being paid to Vadaine. It's miraculous we've got any type of competitive team and have been able to win any games at all this season given the budget that Derek has had to work with.

Those thinking we can compete with the likes of Bradford for decent strikers, or even for quality young loan players from Premier League or Championship teams need to give their heads a wobble.

No, we have to compete on "stealth" which is what Derek excels at - i.e. making something out of nothing, and ALL our players have to be hard working and resilient - what we don't need are the prima donna's who think they're wonderful and can only be bothered to play well when they feel like it! Personally, I think Derek has got a great squad together who make up for lack of quality by their grit and determination to do the best they can, even if it's not as good as most of the players they're against, week in and week out.

Not saying we can compete with Bratfut wage wise but knowing they are paying between 3k and 4k a week for average players makes Derek's job a lot harder

I think Derek as done amazing to get the team he has got.. Weather its good enough to stay up we will see but it wont be the lack of effort thats for sure

Someone get in touch with his agent. Tell them you represent Blackburn Rovers, and they want to sign him, and they are willing to pay Salford £5,000 and a bag of crisps, but pay him £50,000 a week. Watch him sulk and go on strike.

So how did that work out then?
