Former Shrimps Thread

Carlos's goal was a thing of Beauty, hoping he gets a run as a starter after the International break, really looking the part needs to get some starts under his belt, good all round game on Tuesday.
Interesting to see the Salford Manager moan about the strength of the squad after we made 7 changes did not get what he was going on about, but two defeats in a week will have him looking over his shoulder.

Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs were at The Mazuma Mobile Stadium last Saturday. If they knew what our budget is and compared it with what Salford Managers have had to spend they must have gone away disappointed.

Good to see Carlos getting on the scoresheet especially against Salford , we did get a decent fee out of Luton for him.

To be fair to Salford
G Neville said during his commentary during the cup game with Leeds that they have cut their budget this season, think it was something like this
“ we are probably about 5th in the league in size of budget we were about 2nd last season”
Shows money doesn’t count for everything

Bless them

However, Wrexham and Notts County would have immediately knocked them to 3rd, so not dropped that far!!

Latest score Salford 0 Notts County 2

Dan Crowley with the 2nd Notts Co. goal.

Makes you realise our point and clean sheet with Notts Co. was a better result than it seemed at the time.

Simon didn't manage it yesterday in the FA Cup. I didn't think he was much good when he played for us in 2007/2008 so it must be a pretty low level he is at now.

He is playing at Lancaster, I don't think it gets much lower than that!

From what info I had Jamie would have welcomed a move back to us in whatever capacity he was offered.
