Morecambe Player (down again!)

Player also still showing the score as 2-2 but it is 1-2

Bad night all round. Morecambe thrashed by Bury, Leeds lose 6-4 at home to Preston and I find out mine and all my fixed term colleagues' contracts won't be renewed after they expire. Brilliant!

Barnet are losing 4-2 to Wycombe. Thank goodness Barnet are awful and losing to practically everyone :?

0-0 away at Rotherham is no mean feat! No chance of beating them.

dispite the scoreline am in a better mood than i was after saturdays performance a fair few positives to take from tonight's match for the first time in a few games we looked good in midfield with the ever dependable Drummond & Stanley and Bentley in defence leading as always

we lost it tonight in the full-back positions Scott let a RIGHT footed player on the left wing turn inside and shoot with his RIGHT foot! and i know it might seem harsh but i hope i dont see Capaldi in the first team again at the expense of Wilson

Roche 7
Scott 5
Bentley 7
Parrish 7
Caphaldi 4
Stanley 8
Drummond 7
Duffy 8
Brown 6(not his fault he's not left footed)
Jevons 5(didnt get stuck in)
Mullin 7(battled well)

subs
Rundle 8(looked dangerous)
Wilson 8(put them on the back foot)
Spencer(did more work than Jevons in 10mins)

Very harsh on Scott, he got much better throughout the game, Jevons also did well today i thought, he played very intelligently. And Spencer did nothing at all. But it was good to see the team playing so well!

I think you need to give and take, the amount of pressure we were putting on them, and then for them to break, with good pace. It was a shame..

If Capaldi plays again instead of Wilson, I am going to throw myself in the Lune. Awful player.

From our position (in line with penalty area) sat in the PMG the off-side was harsh. I was up celebrating the goal, my mate Steve's a bit too old for that, so he was sat on his arse eventually telling me it had been disallowed ... and reckoning Bentley was the offender.
Should have known better than to trust a 'local' ref who couldn't see Defoe was a mile off @ Wigan last season. Hence why he's now 4th official @ the Globe tonight & not running the line in the Champions League!

Oh well got kicked out of the W & L Suite at 11.15 down to the Globe Bar. Steve was doing his nut as he wanted to.go home! Bad luck Steve ;)

Keep the faith guys. Hereford and Barnet are still worse performers than we are :?

Enjoyed the game tonight, got overrun early doors , then as is the Morecambe way, came back in to it but for me (as is becoming a habit) never looked liked turning the game around. Was particularly happy 2.1 down at half time (why is that?) Sorry but we are simply not quick enough and have no hunger for the ball. As well as we did in short bursts we will never win a f**** thing playing with low esteem and hooking the f*** ball to our strikers. Waste of f**** time. Jim, Stew and A P were a godsend tonite and Rundle was ace when he came on. Thank the lord for the bar later on even tho KP gatecrashed procedings

Oops sorry for swearing, Keith will understand as it is late. What the flip are we going to do for Bradford? After a difficult start and only Shrewsbury at the Globe next :(

Anyway on a + side apart from the Top 4 the league is wide open :o

I have just booked a holiday on the strength of that. Maybe others should follow suit 8-)

Talking about the bottom two marky they play each other on saturday at underhill....i think if we have a go at bradford on saturday and score first we could snatch a win as they are the lowest scorers in the division and there fans will probably get on there backs

Once again it took us to go 2 down before we started playing.

Questions therefore about the pre-match motivation and instructions?

Can't complain about the period of pressure in the second 45, but why oh why do we continue to use the 40 yard cross field balls which on average never get to their target.

Bury played the short pass time after time which guaranteed possession. There was a period in the mid second 45 when we did it and it produced a superb piece of controlled play.

Cut out the long balls and cross field passes. Get the ball on the deck and back to the simple game and maybe we'd produce the result we all so desperately want; none more so than the players themselves.
Heroes get mentioned but Legends never die.
