Sounds to me as though the place needs promoting.....otherwise the cost of staffing will be a drain on whatever the takings (or lack of) are!

The late Chairman of Blackpool Pleasure Beach , Geoffrey Thompson was a big advocate of good signage.

Anyone passing by on Westgate who isn't a Morecambe fan wouldn't know that the bar is open 7 days a week. It need a large illuminated sign above the bar window.

Have any flyers been printed and distributed to all the caravans in the adjacent caravan sites telling them about the new bar and its facilities and special offers ?

The club shop also needs a big bold sign.

That would be difficult as holiday caravans don't have letterboxes

Stick them under the window wipers instead

You don't see them in the doors very often, most have a box outside or on the wall so that they can get their bills and junk mail like the rest of us.


Although Geoffrey Thompson was M.D. his mother always remained Chairman till she died at the age of 101. she was a great lady and I remember seeing her ride the Big One when she was 80+... it was very sad for the family that just a week or 2 after her death Geoffrey died ... Must have been a nightmare for the Lawyers as well?
