New Song

Dunno why, but this morning I've had the tune to 'Roll out the Barrel' annoyingly running around my head like a lingering bad smell and try as I might it just wont budge.

Then I started substituting 'Diarmuid O'Carroll' instead of 'Roll out the Barrel' and thought there might be a song in there somewhere...

Oddly, if I remember the original lyrics correctly, they would work reasonably well for a non-sweary type song:

Diarmuid O'Carroll, we'll have a barrel of fun,
Diarmuid O'Carroll, we've got the blues on the run.

Plenty of scope though for someone to come up with a witty alternative perhaps?

That Ian Wright song that Arsenal used to sing to Feeling Hot Hot Hot, we could do Neil Wainwright-Wright-Wright!

Why do we have to have songs that are just copied from other teams?

Original songs would be nice.

Don't you think this one works for Harry Kewell because his name rhymes with the original song?

Family club after all.

A bit like after singing "you're not very good.... etc" I sing "you're pants and you know you are".
People know exactly what you're saying, you're just being a bit cleverer and less offensive about it.

Swearing in songs at football.... it's so 80's!

I am with you on that Bro.

I reckon that I am one of the few who hates with a passion that 'Do you take it up the........' song. Always hated it, hate it even more since my 7 year old son asked me what it meant. How was I to explain that rationally in a way that wouldnt make my Son look life differently?
