opening game attendance

Maybe it took longer to hit you down there but the 'Credit Crunch' was in full flow here last August Peter.

I think you might be right further up the chain with some of the Premiership clubs (of which there are 7* within 90 minutes from here) ticket prices plus fuel plus overpriced food & drink.

Who knows? There may be some positive spin off at smaller more economic VFM clubs and we may pick a few up.

Hope its a big gate, seems like an age since the end of last season. For the first time in a long time I won't be at the first home game thanks to some blancmange getting married during the football season.

I'll go for 2,817.

See y'all in Burton.

I can show you a quick route to Wigan Mark, if it's taking you more than 90 mins.

Hi Andy I would post your question on another thread as Landlords on here tend not to read the "attendance" threads :o We will be in JB's till about 6.30 or when John kicks us out  We could then trundle up to the York to chew over our win over Hereford and take in the 2nd half of WBA v Newcastle 8-)
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

I think we'll get bigger crowds as the season goes on, when fickle fans realise the entertainment they'll get this season at CP, rather than sitting inside watching Sky sports news.

It's not about fickle fans.
People have to live.
They've got bills to pay and families to feed.
Supporting your footie team is a luxury.
Unfortunately, IMO, it's one of the first things that has to be sacrificed, and not really a difficult decision to make.

But yet alot of people only come when we are playing well, true fans go week in week out no matter how well we are doing - Anyway, 250/300 Hereford fans would we say?

All well and good when you're not even paying the bills and possibly had your golden ticket bought for you by your parents

I managed to accompany my 2 sons to the game today but found it difficult climbing out of bed at 2pm to do it, Really enjoyed it although the late late late equaliser was a killer and the thought of going to work again at 9pm tonight didn't help matters
