The FA have granted Chester special dispensation to play their friendly against Droylesden tomorrow as it is in memory of a soldier killed in Afghanistan.

It gets better;

Now for the bad bit. The theory is that a lot of the creditors were 'paper' creditors only. ie friends of you know who, that somehow managed to record debt agains the club in excess of required 75 % of creditors, thus getting through the CVA at the first try.
Legally permitted to use "Gnasher" by DC Thomson's lawyers since 1999.

Chester boss Mick Wadsworth, meanwhile, has agreed a deal for experienced striker Glynn Hurst.

I would have thought signing new players would be the last thing on Chesters mind at the moment
