I think we should thank them for their contributions to Morecambe FC over the many years they have been on the BOD’s. It must sadden them where we have ended up and how we have ended up were we are today.

I said when they made one of their BOD’s announcements that they should have walked, we know why they didn’t, but in the end it ended up a bluff that ultimately failed.

Thanks guys.

Announced at the recent forum that Graham was stepping back.......

How was my post misleading.... :?: :?: :?:

It was about not having seen Rod for a few weeks. I never even suggested that he had definitely left the building....just wondered if he had had enough like Graham and son.....

As per usual some like to see a problem when there isn't one.....

I dont know why I clicked on your link , knowing full well it would be a ridiculous non story , you'll need to tell Rod why you were desperately seeking attention so you thought you'd find it by using his name.

Here we are, your infantile response to the owner, punish the club!!

Is that really the best you can come up with to get attention focused on the ownership issue.

I await your reply, with trepidation.

The post is about Rod, what’s your thoughts if the rumour is true and he is stepping away?

My thoughts on RT RUMOURED to be stepping away. I'll comment when it happens. (Should it happen)

Fellow Shrimps supporters, whilst I may be, once again, criticised for replying to a post via social media rather than on the OWS, I feel it appropriate to do so in this instance.

Firstly, to the January Fan's Forum, Graham's comment has been totally taken out of context. Prior to the new Finance Manager coming into the building in late July last year, Graham, through necessity, had been micro-managing this side of the business on a daily basis. Allied to this were the demands placed on him to deliver detailed information for the prospective purchasers of the club. What he did say in relation to the overall situation that we found ourselves in was; "I’d prefer to step back. We’ve got staff and it’s a case of trusting them to get on with the job. There’s simply not enough hours in the day on occasions. I’ve said this to the guys before, with our businesses, the club, our families, the EFL; when you put them together, there’s not enough hours in the day.” So, ultimately stepping back from the micro-managing of the dept on a day-to-day basis, to supporting the staff to do their jobs, not, as has been suggested, walking off into the sunset. January is one of the busiest periods of the year in Graham's profession, but he, again, dedicated an inordinate amount of time to the demands of the club, quietly away, getting on with it. Perhaps this misinterpretation, coupled with Ollie leaving, has led to 2+2=5?

So, onto the further episode of the rumour mill. I have been absent from some recent games, but I can assure you that this in no way alters my dedication to the cause. Sometimes, when you have given your all during the week, you cannot afford the time to get to a match. Both Graham and I have experienced this crazy situation over the years! Other personal issues also come into play at times.

Whilst I am a director and co-chairman of this wonderful club, I will continue to do my utmost to act in its best interests and for the benefit of our valued management, players, staff, and supporters. When the time comes and the ownership changes, I will continue to do my best and play whatever part I can, be that in the boardroom or on the terraces. Morecambe Football Club means a lot to us, but it is not down to us as individuals, as no one is bigger than the club itself.

The one plea that I will repeat here today is that we all play our part to the full and really try to make a positive difference for DA, his staff and the lads on the field of play in the season's run in. There is a lot of football still to play and we still have the opportunity to make the most of these games. COYS!

Thanks for your post Rod and the reassurances that you continue to serve our brilliant club. The support in the last few games has been amazing. We have special fans at this club and I know the team will have loud vocal support throughout the remaining league games. We can still avoid the dreaded drop if we all get behind the manager and the lads COYS

As the one who made the initial post I couldn't be more delighted to read Rod's post and the excellent news that both he and Graham will continue to act as Co Chairman of their and our club as they navigate the club through troubled waters curtasy of our absent owner.

Both have a passion for the club which continues despite the position the club finds itself in.

Thanks to them we will still have a club support irrespective of league or player status

Not far off in my reply to the original post, but thanks for the honesty and if Rod is sticking around continuing on the BODs and Graham as well, all well and good, they bring so much experience and knowledge. It’s also good to know if a time comes to hand it all over, they will be sticking around in some capacity helping the Club it is better for the Club.

I think this stops well short of apologising for unfounded speculation that Graham Howse would be stepping down as Co-Chair, when in reality this is not the case. We will accept it as such regardless.

If you care to read the post from Bb
it was he who confirmed about Graham leaving as was thought due to Graham's statement at the recent forum.

But by all means have another pop at me if it makes you feel good.

I really couldn't care less what you think. Now or in the future.

If by Bb you mean me, I think my wording was ‘it was announced at the forum that Graham was stepping back’, not that he was leaving.

I went on to say ‘that from what Rod said (about the effect it has had on him), I thought he was finding it difficult that he was staying’.

Maybe from my wording (poorly put), that people thought, they were leaving, I apologise to all concerned.
It was not meant like that at all. When I said “staying” it was meant that Rod was not steeping back on what he does for the club and I then went on to say they should both be thanked for their contributions to the club over the years.

Time for this subject to be put to bed. But some like to make mountains out of molehills. Like you I'm delighted that both Rod and Graham have no intention of leaving. Without them our club would be worse for it
