BBC Lancs video which is well worth a watch. Derek said he's committed to the end of the season, had players in ready to sign on loan but had to be sent back. Jason claims to have secured additional funds this afternoon and has put something across to the EFL in order to make this available before the transfer window ends. Won't hold my breathe.

Great interview from both Rod and Derek. Wonderful news that Derek is staying, we owe him a huge debt of gratitude.

How about giving DA a standing ovation at the next home game in the 19th minute to show we are all behind him and his players ????

Derek deserves an applause for that, very focused on his job. Quite frankly I would have said f@ck it.

Think Rod is clutching at more straws quite honestly , but is clearly now showing his anger

Sounds like we may have some funds soon but possibly already too late for Derek's chosen players. Is Jason a complete idiot or is he playing us once again? Derek must be fuming inside

Just listened to the Radio Lancashire interview with Rod & Derek, it came across as an honest account of what is happening. Explaining what Officials at the Club are trying to do, which is protect the Club.

To anyone flirting with other ideas, don’t listen to those who have already come out and said “it’s time to take it onto the pitch” as I replied to them, that will only have an affect on the Clubs survival in the EFL. Make no mistake if we go down because we get points deductions applied because of the wrong type of demonstration or foolish action it may well be your fault we go out of the EFL. Think if we go out of the EFL because we get 2 points deducted and it takes us back down to 23rd or 24th and out of the EFL.

It isn’t going to be easy to stay in the EFL but is is achievable, 21 games to go and announcing that money that was going to be used to bring in loan players has had to be moved/saved for other essential payments, because Jason cannot give assurances that the money he agreed at the beginning of the season to fund the Club is going to be made available.

Think about that, it’s the payment of wages is next week! The Club has to make sure they are paid, first and foremost and that goes for the rest of the season. The BoD’s are acting in the Clubs interest by giving that priority over bring in new loan players. That is only one persons fault, don’t give him the satisfaction to begin to blame the Club Officials or the Clubs supporters.

If changes happen in the mean time who knows, but don’t hold your breath. It is more damage that has been loaded on the Club, and its reputation. Who would want to deal with us, who would want to come and who the hell would want to buy us.

Let’s hope there are people out there who do have faith in us and can help us get out of our predicament.

Latest Trust statement. Contact from Jason and meetings arranged with the EFL and the Board.

Sounds like they've been busy this afternoon.

My own take on the situation, for what it's worth!

Jason says he was introduced to Momi by someone.....that someone was more than likely Sarbjot after the EFL had rejected him as a prospective buyer. There is no doubt in my mind that Momi hasn't a cat in hell's chance of passing the EFL test either. So we will now have Twittingham putting a bit more money into the club after the transfer deadline in order to help the club survive but without the striker that we all agree we need. We will then be relegated and the club can be sold to Momi as non league owner's criteria is not as strict as EFL, so we are led to believe. Twittingham finally walks away leaving us with Momi.

Though National League Rules are slightly different the Owners and Directors Test is the same if you are in the Premier League, Championship, League 1&2, National League, Isthmain League, Northern Premier League, Southern Football League, Woman’s Super League and Women’s Championship.

So once again what ever League Morecambe are in next season the Directors Test is the same, once they pass the Test the rules of any new League they go into may be slightly different.

Let’s hope it’s League 1, up the shrimps.

The club had to step up here as they had promised fans that Derek would have funds in the summer. Must have been a terrible choice to make and i bet they picked straws for the one to tell Derek.

Derek is some man, we are so lucky to have him at the helm. Has a Morecambe manager ever had to work under such horrible conditions and had so many promises broken? I dread to think where we would be without the King!

Funny, last manager working under such conditions, you reckoned was defeatist for aiming for third from bottom of League Two and should have been going for promotion!

On this, I totally agree. If anyone can achieve third from bottom, it is Derek.

Jim didn't have to work under the conditions Derek has. He had a hard time with wages being unpaid once but for the most of his 8 years, he had it easy and underperformed.

Fish on.

Your selective memory is impressive! You've conveniently forgotten Lemos and Cala's 'ownership' of the club? How much did they 'promise' then deliver? Or when our current owner (or was it the other knob?) putting a Facebook 'poll' asking if Jim should be sacked?

I'm going to nominate that Poll for the new legends wall. We would be in the Northwest Counties without it!

Are you suggesting Whittingham repeats the poll now? Because we're heading for the North West Counties anyway. You have noticed that as it currently stands, we're only second from bottom on goal difference?

Or, are you saying, crap ownership and under investment for Jim wasn't a problem, but crap ownership and under investment for Derek is?

Same crap owner. The ONLY change that matters will be if the crap owner f**ks off.

Perhaps he is enjoying the notoriety.....very little good seems to be effectively productive in severing his reins of the club, especially from those who you would expect to keeping it all clean and above board [EFL]. I really doubt that supporters being overly verbal in their disgust really helps matters, despite the frustration that I completely agree with.

Six points adrift from safety, bottom of the League. No investment, no new players.

League survival will take a miracle now.

I wonder if Peter McGuigan ever looks at the mess he left behind?
