And what would we do about a sub keeper. I would be amazed if Stuart Moore plays again now he has this recurring injury, we needed another keeper. But to keep starting with no useful front line is asking to be beaten.

given we have little money, i would rather gamble and blow our money on a center forward, quality not quantity.

just look at the L2 table and remaining games .

Totally agree Andy D, so maybe this could be a case of one in one out. Could it be D.A has realised the fact that Dackers is not good enough and has been sent back.

Dallas looks encouraging from those video clips, albeit against non-league opposition. Looks like he can shoot from distance, score from one-on-ones with a keeper and takes a good penalty. Better than Dackers anyway!

Three in seven will do for me!
Important typo... 3 goals in 17.

He's actually exactly what I expected. Still quite young, struggling elsewhere, who Derek will hopefully develop and rebuild confidence. Last three loans haven't been successful, but Solihull & Chesterfield certainly were. With our budget, this is where we shop.

5 in 22 when he was released and joint Barrow top scorer. Not too bad when not playing on a consistent basis. popular at Barrow and released my a manager who was sacked less than a week later

Well fortunately, it appears we are able to sign both a decent CF and a back-up GK, so I don't know why you'd moan!

The c.£160k + two saved wages on Harrack/Brown + a bit of cup money is a decent little boost for this month. It's obviously not the stupid money that Carlisle are throwing around, but it's enough to let us bring in a few decent players.

A back-up GK was unfortunately necessary, and Cooke could be a cracking signing if we he can hit the ground running fitness-wise and is the kind of player we desperately need. Two loanees due, one of which will be Dallas - who is pretty much the best we could realistically hope for. No idea on the other loanee, but Derek's indicated it's another attacking player. Personally, I'd be hoping for another option out wide.

At the moment, it's looking like it could be the below for next Saturday:

Burgoyne
Hendrie-Williams-Stott-Tutonda
Songo'o-White
Edwards-Cooke-Tollitt
Dallas

Former Solihull Manager has today been appointed as the new Manager at Barrow.

Wasn't our rumoured new striker at Solihull before Barnsley signed him.... :?: :?: :?:

Wonder IF had he known that his former manager was taking over at Barrow he would have waited before agreeing to come to us.....assuming that he is still coming our way..... :?: :?: :?:

You mean the same manager who off loaded him to Chesterfield on loan before Barnsley signed him

I suppose, he's Barnsley's player, so they get the biggest say in the matter. But, if signing for us, you'd expect it to have been announced that Barnsley had recalled him already?

Keith, I read it on the Barnsley (think it was the facecloth page) yesterday that they had recalled him or agreement was terminated on the 15th January

..
We might have a cash flow problem, and Derek was hoping to move another player on, in order to make room. Ie.

Paul Lewis ?
George Ray?

I wouldn't put it past us but surely not? Two wages saved in Charlie Brown (+ transfer fee?) and Kayden Harrack, £160,000 put into the club by the potential new owner and Derek even went on record to say some of the Chelsea money will be available to him. I'll cry if we've blown all of that on Ryan Schofield and Callum Cooke.

Must admit I like others am getting a little concerned BUT I’m sure Derek has a plan ie longer we wait off signing the less we pay but hope it’s before Friday. I can’t see there being much difference in wages between the 2 we released and the 2 we signed, if anything could be a fraction saved/less. Keep the faith

Derek said he had two agreements with Clubs, I hope the player hasn’t said no or that we have been gazumped!

The sooner a new striker is brought in the better, for whatever reason our strikers have not performed.

I’ve been advocating to play Tollitt as a striker but he’s stuck out wide where even his goals have dried up.

If after tomorrow no one has come in I think it’s right to be a little concerned, surely we cannot go to Colchester without new recruits being involved.

Has it been confirmed that the £160k was for new players? Or is it just put in to pay existing monthly wages? As we're loss making, we're going to need inflows of cash from the owners (past or future) just to pay the wages which is the biggest cost. A figure of £160k is suspiciously close to two months' wages, or maybe the HMRC bill? I'm not convinced at all that it's all for Derek's transfer window and don't believe all (or even most) of the Chelsea money will be going to the transfer window either - if it's "left within the club" that probably means paying the wages for the last few months of the season rather than having to take more loans out to pay them. Hope I'm wrong, but not optimistic.

DA hasconistently saying that he's been given money for action in the transfer window.

If that money doesn't appear I suspect we all know what DA will do.6

Yes Ken, just like the FA Cup money, its like most fans picture Rod Taylor getting on the team bus with £500.000 in cash, and think it was only like £350.000 and who say’s we get that straight away.

The Board have said that the 160k was ring fenced and that some of the Cup money would be added to it.

There is nothing to say that this isn't the case, infact Derek has said that he has 2 deals agreed.

The posts on here get more bizarre by the day!
