You do wonder how we can fail so spectacularly, repeatedly? We could [for example] have closed the shop at 5pm, then had everyone working until [say] 8pm just on phones. Plan ahead and get staff in. I've just been on the FaceBook page. There were four updates from a meaningless game against Carlisle U18's that most people didn't know was happening, and an interview with a sponsor, all posted this afternoon. Why was anyone on FB when they could have been answering phones.

Pointless going through this again tomorrow, when it will be even busier.

As a wheelchair user, I have no choice but to buy tickets by phone (or in person). The only good thing is, we're extremely unlikely to sell our allocation of wheelchair spaces, so they'll (hopefully) still have them at the end of the week, when I can go into the shop in person. At least, they'd better still have space!

They appear to be selling a block at a time, then moving on to the next one to make sure every seat is taken.
Any block left over will go to Chelsea fans

Just to follow up.
I received a call from the club at about 6pm. They are working their way through everyone who is showing as a "missed call". Tickets secured.

15 lines that have been busy all day.

Rant retracted!

Lol, here's another rant situation if you are coming back on the train on Sunday.
Avanti have announced on X that there will be no services on a Sunday from January to May

Ouch! They are useless. I'm driving down on Friday, with three passengers, staying over at Battersea Travelodge for just under £40. Straight back after the game. Briefly looked at trains, but the words "bus replacement service" was enough to look away!

And this is the same lot that got a huge pay increase with no conditions attached and gave just been offered up to £600 as a carrot to work overtime at weekends.

This country is slowing sinking into a laughing stock world wide.

Yes we bought tickets with a bus replacement from Preston to Lancaster, now it seems there's no service at all, might have to stop another night

The whole bloody country is a joke. Avanti staff need to give their heads a wobble. We were supposed to be travelling back north with them on Sunday so no idea what we'll do now. Can't stop an extra night due to work on Monday. We are like a third world country in so many ways.

No it's not. Different grade of staff with a different grievance.

There's usually still a good service when this specific issue occurs so you'll probably be ok, although the time might differ a bit. Avanti staff do their best in sometimes testing circumstances so head-wobbling won't be necessary.

Over 1500 tickets sold now we've passed stage 1 and 2 of the sales process.

How many season ticket holders? 2000 maybe?

Do we think this will sell out?

I suspect many are holding back to either buy tickets for their non-season ticket friends and family or to try and get a better seat more central to the goal.

I suspect we will sell out, but it maybe the first week in January before this happens.

Hopefully we can get a few positive results to bring back a bit more positivity. Hopefully we can put a shift in and at least sneak a goal ;)

Accy are claiming that they have sold out their entire 4700 allocation for the Liverpool game BUT some shareholders have missed out due to the criteria placed on the sales.

Let's hope that all those who want to go to Chelsea are accommodated.

I would have liked to see more criteria come into play before going straight to general sale but that's purely because I've been to 4 home games so far this season.

It doesn't look like many tickets have shifted on this 5+ sale compared to a few hours ago so feeling optimistic that everyone who logs in tomorrow will get sorted.

My experience is that whenever there is Industrial action on the railways that even if the service is 'usually still a good service', which in reality it rarely is, there are severe knock-on effects especially for customers who have connections to catch, and who have paid good money yet have got to endure a very substandard service.

The Unions have got and seem to be getting all they want from 'Two-Tier's' abysmal lot in Westminster, and unless they get what they want then the rest of the country can suck it. Don't get me started on WASPI.

Just hope Marc Guiu gets promoted to the first team before we play them. Three goals at the halfway stage tonight and only 18. Spain have some amazing youngsters coming through. Seriously though I would imagine he will play against us and it will be an honour to see him play live.

I think it will be a very similar Chelsea lineup in the FA Cup game to what they have started with tonight.
