Santa, please bring 2 presents

Playing "style" is dictated by the players we have. IF we had two brilliant strikers and a solid midfield and defence, we could play 2 up front. As it is, both midfield and defence have their weaknesses, so not only can we not afford to have 2 up front, we need the striker(s) to be able to come back and help with defence too!

On Saturday, Lewis was caught out for both the first two goals as he was miles away from their striker. When we have players who make that kind of mistake, it shows we need a midfielder to cover and that means one fewer player up front waiting for head downs from Dackers. (Why there's never anyone there close enough to him for when he wins the ball!).

As seen recently, we also need players back to protect our No2 goalie!

I'm one of those who has hoped we'd bring in some U21 players from Premier League sides, wanting them to get 'real game' experience. So it was interesting to see that only one U21 side is left in the League Trophy. You'd expect this would be a cup competition that they would take very seriously, so is the only reason they aren't qualifying, that they aren't good enough, when it comes to older & stronger players? Could we end up with some interesting sounding players, who simply get bullied out of games?

Notts County, Harrogate and Doncaster Rovers also interested in Joe Gardner, so there’s competition for his signature.

County would be handy for him from a geographical perspective, but would he get game time? Surely the whole point of going out on loan would be starting games regularly. Rovers, probably the same.

Exactly. I read today that Rooney is bringing one of Plymouth's youngsters back as they haven't had enough game time.

Let's be greedy and go for 3 prezzies..... (even if the third is only a promise). The ownership sorted before the end of this season.

I'd like to believe with DA's reputation of playing loanees on a regular basis rather than have them sitting in the dug outs will put us in a good position with ALL clubs above EFL2 and that finding what we need in January will not be as difficult as we think.

Why would a loaning club loan someone without a guarantee that the player concerned will have maximum game time :?: I doubt many clubs and their management would give that guarantee which is something that DA has a proven record in.

How many loanees under DA's stewardship have spent a lot of time on the bench. :?: :?: :?: Not many....

So here's hoping that DA can work his magic one more time and get the players in ALL areas that he feels we need....especially in midfield and striking positions.

Best of luck DA....you may need it..... ;) ;) ;)

Striker leaves Fleetwood with immediate effect.

Spent too many 3 /6 months loans all over the place.

Never going to happen but Paul Mullin at Wrexham is desperately short of game time.....worth a punt.... :?: :o

Adam will be on his way out of the Den in January for certain but I think they’ll be hoping for a league 1 club but never say never. Would DA be interested, should we be interested, is he our answer? I’m also not sure many league 1 clubs will be interested although to be fare he impressed in league 1 for us and tore some apart but times change and his current attitude could be very different and confidence could be low at present. I say could not is!

Don’t get anybody from Man City, currently the worst team in the leagues!

Michael played 2nd half for Stockport last Tuesday against Bradford in the Vertu Cup

He then appeared for Burnley last night against Hull City

Michael's injury was thought to be an ACL injury but it wasn't as expected and came back into the Stockport squad circa the end of October but hasn't played a full 90 minutes to date for County being used as a sub for circa 20 minutes.

By all accounts he has now returned to Burnley but Stockport have not confirmed his departure.

Michael is still shown as a season long loan at Stockport but he did turn out (and score) for the Burnley Development squad recently.

Who knows, if he's nearing full fitness again he would almost certainly get more game time at our place rather than a Stockport or Dundee scenario.

Could it be, he's still registered to Stockport, but Burnley wanted to manage his recovery, so he's with them until fully fit, then return to County?

In terms of game time, he certainly would benefit from coming to us, and Derek certainly aided his development previously.
