Google searches for footballers non-footballing dodgy activities always take you to the scummy end of the press.

Happy with the other 3 but my question about Slew is whether his 'credentials' make him someone who will battle for the club but I suppose Derek knows what he's doing.

I would say Buxton, Tutte, Alessandra and Miller are probably the main candidates to be shipped out.

Can we ship Miller out if he is on a season long loan :?:

Maybe Conlan is going to Carlisle as we have signed a new full-back :?:

Why have we recalled Bakare from Lancaster :?:

I suspect DA will have told anybody signing that they will playing for the badge and not just a payday. I am curious whether Cooney the Phillips have been signed on loan with a view to longer term contracts.

I understand that both Cooney and Phillips are coming to the end of their contracts and in Cooney's case DA could be looking toward next season already when he knows that Tanner will be back at ManUtd so Cooney could be his replacement.

If so then it could be an indication of DA's thinking going forward.

Like it.... :)

Where is the news that Ibrahim has been recalled from Lancaster :?: :?: :?:

One of Lancaster's keenest fans tweeted it the other day. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

That is a fallacy that only Conservative voters read the Daily Mail. A Labour councillor lives on the same street as me and I was behind him in the paper shop the other day and he bought the Mail. He probably realises it is a much better newspaper than the Mirror or Guardian.

Wonder if he was one of the “7 Million Labour voters who voted “Brexit” and instead chosen to lend Boris Johnson their vote he now “Gloats about” to wind Labour up?

I doubt if 7 million Labour voters lent Boris their votes. Clearly some in the "Red Wall" did and well done to them for that selfless action to get Brexit done.

Unfortunately until Labour ditches its far left manifesto and moves more to the centre then the party will remain in opposition for decades to come.

To believe that the voters approved of their left wing manifesto shows for me how short sighted this once proud party used to be.

It wasn't all about Brexit..... :o

Can Burnley insist on a fee for Ryan Cooney as it say's on Wiki that there is a season's extension option on his contract, if we were to sign him fully at the end of the season.

Bad day? He doesn't know anything like some people do. He is just doing a bit of research and speculating

I reckon DA is shaping towards a 4-2-3-1 that currently would look a bit like this (I imagine):

Halstead
Tanner - Lavelle - Old - Conlan
Diagouraga - Brewitt
Slew - AJ - CMG
Stockton

Think AJ struggles a bit in a central role on his own as he lacks physical presence. But his link up with Carlos is brilliant, and DA looks to be shining towards playing him in a second striker role.

Seen some very mixed things about Slew, but one positive everybody seems to agree on is that he's quick. That's something we desperately need in the side, and he clearly has some talent going by his pedigree - obviously seems to have wasted it a bit.

I imagine we'll be getting in another target man to provide a bit of competition/cover for Stockton, especially with Ryan Taylor looking possible. Skill/guile, pace and physical presence up top to create a bit of space - should be a nice blend.

Kenyon/Brewitt probably in contention for that second central midfield spot, imagine Diagouraga will have one spot nailed. Will be interesting to see what kind of a player Phillips will be, as he may be in contention for that position too - possibly as a more attacking option going from what has been said about him?

I think Lavelle and Old (who's been excellent recently) are safe bets at centre back, although again DA may want to bring in more competition alongside Sutton. Bakare seems to have returned though, which is interesting: https://lancastercityfc.com/club_news/t ... e-returns/

Possibly a naturally left sided full back, a target man and maybe another centre back or creative midfielder on the cards?
