It's all over, a good away win, and pretty comfortable to boot. Let's kick on from here now and build for the rest of the season.

Great team performance today. Looked like they wanted it. Wilson is a left sided midfielder and was superb along with Duffy. Spencer played out of his skin.

CC was right, Capaldi is half decent  Lets hope we can kick on now, Stockport were extremely poor though.

this is happening quite often now. we keep losing, people get sick of it and call for sammys head and then we have a good win. problem is we then start the cycle again! hopefully we can keep going this time!

Indeed. We need string a few decent results together if we are to progress up the league.

After the Stanley performance I decided to stay home and study. Kind of knew we would end up winning!

Great win on a poor pitch. It must be pointed out however that Stockport are a terrible team. Shocking defending for the first goal. Morecambe did exactly the same corner routine twice in quick succession. Both involved the shortest man on the pitch getting a glancing header on the front post. The first effort went close, the second fully 30 seconds later made the net ripple. Still, that shouldn't detract from what was a much better team performance.

We played some neat and tidy stuff throughout the game. The formation worked well and I liked the speediness of Duffs and Wilson on the flanks. Jimmy Spencer has a good touch but is missing a bit of composure in the box at the moment, he could have had a couple today. Still played well though, never stopped chasing down lost causes. Even Capaldi had an error free game, solid from start to finish. Nothing overly special but if it means we get to see Wilson pushed forward a bit more it might be worth keeping him a little longer, time will tell.

Decent number of travellers, could have been more but I quess many were too busy venting there spleen at Sammy behind a computer screen on here.

A happy Shrimp tonight.

Much better today and a fantastic atmosphere from us even if the rest of the ground was like a cemetery. The formation worked with Duffy and Wilson both providing options on the wing, Parrish won everything today at the back and Spencer and Shuker worked hard up front. Like RRW said, Spencer could have easily had a couple but his first touch is fantastic, I wish Jevons had that.

It was against a poor Stockport side today though, so it remains to be seen whether we can perform like that, away from home, next week. Lets hope so!

Lets just hope that we can build on this win, we all felt like this after the Port Vale game and then we lost Stanley and everyone was down again. We just need a run of results!

Hopefully he plays the same team and uses the same formation this Saturday. Although I was shocked that Scott Brown was dropped today, I would replace him with Drummond. Brown has been one of the few bright sparks this season.

Although Stockport were very very poor, every single Morecambe player was fantastic in their effort and playing for the shirt and team. Brilliant stuff. let's see if it works against a better team on Saturday.

As I said at Stanley game, we only win games that we dont look like winning. We'll lose at home to the worst away teams and lose away to the worst home teams but then we'll end a teams 9 games winning streak or beat top of the league.
I look forward to all games we're 'never' gonna win! :D
Get over it ;)

Off the top of my head we've won 6 league games, 3 home and 3 away. 2 of those games were against Stockport possibly the worst side home and away that I've seen in this division. Our most impressive win IMO was at home to Shrewsbury who we battered and were lucky to not lose by 3 or 4. The Shrews have been traditionally poor travellers for almost as long as we have. I'm struggling to understand your logic.

I have to hand it to Sammy, I was losing faith in his decisions, but he put that right yesterday. We actually played a formation that suited us.

That said, I don't think we actually played that well, but we didn't play poorly either. If it was against the likes of Rotherham and Shrewsbury I think we'd have struggled a bit, but fortunately for us Stockport were abismal beyond words. However, given a little time, the players should gel into it and start giving those great performances of last season.

The future's bright......er!
