From everything that i have read, he sounds like he is just the front man trying to get through the EFL Ownership tests. I was confused by Whittinghams latest chat with the Trust when he mentions "cultural" issues holding the deal up.

what a surprise! What bothers me is the thought that the EFL would probably love us to get relegated out of their jurisdiction so they can wash their hands of the whole problem. In fact if they got rid of us and Reading......two problems solved!

I hope people see it for what it is and don't fall for a very weak and empty statement.

Great work by The Trust in getting to speak to these chancers but this doesn't happen without the 1920Union.

Keep the pressure on them and support the campaign!

I'm not being facetious but how has the 1920Union facilitated the meeting/communication with our potential buyers and the Shrimps Trust?

I don't think that the "buyers" would have made contact without the NAPM boycott

I think it’s important to not let any statements like this calm the waters like they have in the past. It’s a good step but I think the threat of NAPM has to remain until some real progress is made.

Just to be clear...the 1920 Union post on TwitterX refers to the NAPM boycott starts with 2025/6 season.
Not tomorrow.

What are owners allowed to loan money to the Club they own?

AI stated:- ‘It’s a more flexible and potentially more tax-efficient way to invest and potentially recoup their investment compared to equity’.

We there you have it, correct me if I’m wrong, but you make more money out of loaning money to the Club you own than you ever will selling it and that’s why we are still for sale.

Any loans should be interest free other wise owners are just sucking the life out of Clubs, like Morecambe FC.

If he has made [say] three-million in loans to the club and is getting a decent amount of interest from them. He thinks the club is worth five-million, everyone else thinks two-million.

We're relegated, everyone else thinks the club value drops to one-million. Whittingham still thinks it is worth five-million.

Not a penny more campaign and relegated, income is through the floor. HMRC not paid, we go into administration. HMRC are the primary creditor. Administrator sells the club for half-million. HMRC and Administrator fees gobble that up, leaving nothing else. Whittingham definitely loses then, as his three-million in loans have gone. The club is screwed. But, it is screwed anyway. Hopefully, the Not a Penny More campaign focusses Whitingham on getting out while he still can, by selling at a realistic figure. That's how I see it anyway.

So how did that work out then?
