Yet we classed it as a giant killing when we beat league 2 sides when we were in the conference, same distance......
Presonally I think the fans of this club have lost interest in this cup now were no longer non-league which is a shame.
A game like against Carlisle...we should already be preparing for a loud night, passionate night!!
Get over it ;)

Northampton were about four places above us prior to yesterday, so beating a team 28 places above would be a hell of a giant killing :? Ah well, we need to concentrate on the relegation battle anyway...

The magic of the FA Cup, small non-league clubs like Morecomb having their big day out at a Football League ground.

It'll be our cup semi-final... if only we'd been drawn away at a really big club, like Bradford, then we could have called it our cup final!

Funny how people see things differently, I can't think of many draws worse. Not a hope of TV coverage and a very slim chance of getting anything out of it the way we're playing. At least if we'd been away to a non-league team it would probably have been on TV as they look for a 'giant killing' :?

its good in that we could have been away on the South coast with about 100 fans there to support us.

we should take a lot up to Brunton and they are a poor side.

should we ask for extra tickets !

Indeed. So will we treat this as an opportunity and relief from the current stress or will it be an annoyance based on the previous years when we "don't get a home draw" very often.

Or maybe they will be relieved not to be playing at home in front of their own fans

if we had to be away this is a great tie
not too far away and it will be a great atmosphere as well
In good times we would take at least 1000
hope we can still do that
there will be live commentary on morecambe player
and we know a thing or two about their team this season

Would certainly expect more than the 170 Southend Shrimpers took there at the weekend

Well as away draws go it's good for me. Simple train journey. Will be the first away game I've been to for years!

Looking at Paulton Rovers away end they are going to have to show their first ever FA Cup 1st round tie at home to Norwich! Sardines and tin spring to mind

Away at Carlisle to me is a great tie, virtually a local derby and a break from our struggles in the league, this has got to be an excellent game for us. For me the FA Cup has never lost it's magic and I have never missed watching us in an FA Cup 1st round proper tie or beyond for over 30 years. Some fantastic memories there and just to think we are only 2 games away from a Man U or Chelsea should be enough to get a lot up there cheering the team on.
