Let's talk about this clown.
He's hardly gonna win business man of the year is he?
He's turned down an unbelievable offer according to the Trust when we were league 1 and now it looks like we are heading to non league with literally no assets.
What a first class prick.

Seconded Hodgie. We need to protest at every remaining home game this season now. If that means invading the pitch. So be it. Cause if we're been honest. What have we got to lose? Maybe this will gage media interest like Reading.

Pitch invasions get you nowhere really except heavy fines and points deductions. We've already had publicity from previous actions so further media interest will achieve nothing. The only way we are going to get rid of our owner is the 'not a penny more' route which is the last resort. The Reading saga has, I think, been going on longer than us, they are a bigger club and they are still in deep trouble despite all the publicity they have had. It's already been mentioned that if Reading get thrown out of the EFL (and the EFL will have to go through with that unless they are sold in the required time) that gives us a possible life line. I'm afraid we have to wait until it's impossible for us to stay up. If we are relegated and the owner has not sold then that is the time to force administration.

not a penny more.

away games only

protests are futile, Jason will just be a smart arse and say, well the club is for sale, when challanged by the media.

Was watching the internationals these last few days and got to thinking just how far we have fallen
Jason must be so proud of his business prowess
Not that long ago we had games cancelled because OUR players were on international duty
Distant days that won’t come back
Well done Jason

I sense with growing anger at the abuse of our club by Whittingham it's time for a meeting convened by the Trust to discuss any actions we can take. If we are not careful fans are going to show their anger by actions that can further harm our club. We need leadership to organise our protests and who better to lead this but Tarnia. We have to rid our club of the cancer that is Whittingham before he completely destroys the Shrimps.

Agree with everything 'black morse' said. Pitch invasion will not achieve anything positive but may condemn the club entirely.

Also, people identified as taking part, may receive banning orders, and possibly a criminal record, which can impact upon a person's life away from football, for example, some countries will deny entry to anyone with a criminal record, and some employment can be impacted.

It's time for the fanbase to unite against Whittingham. No more sitting on our hands dreaming about a pie in the sky sale, it is time to cut the head off the snake.

Not a penny more until Whittingham has gone. Away days only.

Fortunately, I think the Christie Trust will stop most of that happening, although there is a significant amount that he could try and get.

What worries me is what happens to the building, if we have to resort to a phoenix club? The changing rooms etc won't be accessible. Will it just sit there until it crumbles and needs demolishing? If so, who would do that? Could football be played on the pitch, if the main stand becomes unsafe? (No, obviously).

We could see Mazuma turn into Frontier Land, decades of decline. I hope the board members who are actual fans of the club are already planning for this eventuality, as it isn't that unlikely.

Macclesfield already won the Northern Premier League with a +61 goal difference, they will be swapping places with us sooner than we think at the current rate

We need to take the same action that our neighbours down the coast took. They are a great example of what a united fanbase can do.

The Blackpool fans managed to get Bloomfield Rd classed as:
An "asset of community value" (ACV) is a building or land nominated by a local community group and recognized by the local authority as being important to the social well-being or interests of the local community, potentially eligible for the "Community Right to Bid" if it is sold.

i recall a lot of Blackpool fans boycotting the home games, but still turning up outside on match day, protesting that way.

while a smaller percentage still attended the home games.

I'd suggest another couple of games with full support, and half an eye on what is going on at Reading. If our escape is due to their sadder demise than ours, we still need to finish above Carlisle. A demonstration outside the ground every home game, then 100% behind the team. Next season, definitely if we're relegated and perhaps, even if we're not, then a 'not a penny more' campaign is the only power we have as fans. Go to away games, and demonstrate at home games, before going to the pub.

If we're down and Reading reprieved, then a demonstration at the final League Two match

If it is the land Whittingham is after, or any other potential buyer is after, I like Berlin Walkers post of getting the Mazuma an ‘Asset of Community Value’ is a good idea. With the Christy Trust it will help protect the Clubs Stadium, if that is what the ultimate goal of the owner or new owners of the Club is.

I was Intrested to hear what the Blackpool fans did, my only problem if that’s what people want to do to try and force a sale, what will it do to the Club financially before Whittingham sells, would it be financially catastrophic?
If the current bid goes through, with how they have conducted their bid, I’m sceptical of their long term plans, I cannot believe they have not handed in enough paper work to pass the Test after all this time.

I cannot see any satisfactory way out of this. We have do to whatever it takes to get rid of Jason and the present potential buyers are not an option. They haven't passed the EFL test and they never will.

We have to put an end to this circus. There is no credible buyer and the club is a cash cow for Whittingham. He took £1.8m out a couple of years ago so don't buy in to this stuff about turning his debt in to shares.

Stand up and fight for YOUR club.

What is the point in protesting at home games against a man sat in his house 250 miles away?

We are in a relegation battle, let's focus on this. It's way more serious than a disinterested owner. We've actually had success and failure under this clown, so nothing is certain until there's an R next to our name in the table.

When the dust settles on the season, let's have a proper fans meeting with some clear options to vote on with regards to action. I personally think we should hold off on season tickets until some actions are agreed with the owner.

Will that lead to no money or significantly less money for the Club to attract players for next season? With that leading to us not having a good enough squad to be competitive in either League we end up in.

Having said that I’m happy to hold off getting a season ticket if it achieves a quick reaction by Whittingham to move to sell the Club to a different buyer than the prospective new owners, who cannot submit enough evidence to pass the EFL Test after months of prevarication on their behalf.

I’m still thinking about joining the “not a penny more protest” next season, though I will probably continue watching live football like I have done for 61yrs.

I’ve been asked to go with my son-in-law and grandson to watch the Dollies, now that’s a step way too far.

Personally I think Whittingham won’t be bothered one bit either way, he’s probably still in a position where he will make some money either way.

It’s just all a mess, what’s right, what’s wrong if your a fan?

We are already running on a budget that is less than quite a few National League sides. I can only imagine that Jason would reduce the budget further if we go down, which would probably result in us scrapping it out in the bottom half of the table.
We need him removed from the club before he kills it.

We will be dropping in to Non league football with no Manager, 2 contracted players and the usual hassle with the budget.

Nobody wants to boycott, we all love the football club and just want to go back to being supporters again. We will never have our club back whilst Whittingham owns the club so we need to take direct action against him.

Crikey don't go to Lancaster, I have watched a lot of non league football and seen two Lancaster games and the standard was dreadful by far the worst I have seen while on my travels this year. I even saw them get knocked out of the Lancs cup by Longridge who are two divisions below them.

Lots more better teams you can visit.

Yes Whittingham and his antics is the root of all that has gone wrong with the Club and I want to continue watching the team, but I want him gone. It’s a quandary for each and every fan what they deem to be right firstly for the Club and secondly what’s right for themselves.

As for watching another team if I choose to support the ‘not a penny more protest’ next season, well I make no secret up to 2018 I would go and watch PNE at home and the occasional game at both Christy Park and the Mazuma. What I will say is I have been drawn to Morecambe FC since becoming a season ticket holder these last 5yrs in a way that was quite unexpected and have really enjoyed the highs we achieved and still the lows of today, in the end I love watching live football. Go to away games!! I just don’t want to travel more than an hour.

The option of going elsewhere as P/T Indie says is vast if I’m willing to travel 1hr or so and that’s always been part of Morecambe’s problem why our gates are not bigger, football fans have an array of teams here in the North West and even across to Leeds, (like I did in the early 70’s as their home games were opposite to PNE’s), to go to. Look at the gates at Carlisle, Barrow and even Workington who get far more fans being isolated from near by alternative football teams.

Whittingham saying he wants to sell is just not credible anymore, it’s a broken set of assurances and I think the prospective buyers have no credibility either, some people may just be right what they think is allegedly going on.

I suspect you are correct about relegation BUT I'm not so sure about no manager. It wouldn't surprise me if DA decides to stay and relish a new challenge and successfully deliver a more than competitive squad.

I wonder if any other EFL club would look at DA given his recent track record ( I certainly hope that any club would be cautious) and a return to Scotland is very doubtful.

DA is the best manager that is more than capable of getting us into at the very least a challenging squad BUT as always it all depends on the owner basically 'doing one'.......

I'd be delighted if DA comes out in the very near future and informs the fans that he is staying whatever happens come the end of this season.

We need to start looking at building a squad for the highly competitive National League NOWif possible... :?: :?: :?:

I doubt that Derek will be able to keep the current squad members if the same happens as the last two years and they have to release everyone not under contract due to the uncertainty and lack of proven funds for the 25/6 season wages budget.

It would be a travesty if we have to release everyone AGAIN and for Derek to have to start from scratch AGAIN.

I think that if we could keep most of our players then we'd have a pretty good nucleus for the new season in the National League as they're all basically national league standard anyway. Obviously, we'd have no hope of keeping the loan players who'll all move to other L2 clubs and wouldn't be coming down a league.

I can certainly see space for a few of the academy players to come in, but again, the senior ones may move on at the end of the season if we can't offer them a contract straight away.
