Rod Taylor

It's common?knowledge that Rod's fellow Co Chairman will be leaving the club in a few weeks time.

Having not seen Rod at?recent games I wonder if he to has had enough of the antics of the owner and who could blame him. No idea who will be taking over. Maybe a new owner? Who knows.

Is this confirmed? If so, it is really bad news. The Board are not beyond criticism, but without a doubt, not having real fans at the helm, we'd have been screwed even sooner. I can't say I blame them though.

So how did that work out then?

Rod & Graham stepping aside might not be a bad thing, it could force Jasons hand .

He would probably put his own people on the board so don't know how that would help

But then Jason will have to pay new people to move here,, and they wont have a Scooby Doo.

Rod & Graham do they get paid off Jason for their hard work and stress it's causing them?

Imagine if they did it on mass the moment we were relegated?
They then released a heartfelt statement to the media bringing Jason down and a plea to get an independent regulator in football.

If true who the hell could blame him? It was announced at the forum that Graham was stepping back and Rod from his response you could see he was finding it hard to justify to himself that he was staying.

I think we should thank them for their contributions to Morecambe FC over the many years they have been on the BOD’s. It must sadden them where we have ended up and how we have ended up were we are today.

I said when they made one of their BOD’s announcements that they should have walked, we know why they didn’t, but in the end it ended up a bluff that ultimately failed.

Thanks guys.

Who could blame them indeed! The issues of running the club and trying to deal with Whittingham's shenanigans must be incredibly stress inducing. It's stressful enough just being a fan so the directors of the club have all gone above and beyond the call of duty dealing with the pressures involved. Rod Taylor is an absolute club legend and if he walks away from his life's passion you just know that things have reached rock bottom.

So where does that leave us. Probably administration with a best case scenario that someone who actually cares about the club picks up the pieces in a Bury/Macclesfield type of set up. So probably NWCFL level. At least we'd have a club to follow.

Graham and his son are both leaving the club.

At the moment Rod is I understand still with us thankfully but come the end of this horrible season...who knows?

We often talk of club legends. Non greater than the both of them considering what they have had to put up with and how they have done their best to keep their and our club afloat.

Feels at time as though everything is like the crumbling walls of Jericho....

Grim times. Without Rod and Graham I can't see the club functioning. Jason can't afford to pay wages to replace them, so it might be the tipping point.

Head of Physio is Graham's son who is also calling it a day hence the recent recruitment ad for a qualified replacement reporting to DA.

If we are relegated then no blame on the manager or the players it's simply the result of our absent owner .

If he had sold our club earlier then there is no doubt in my mind that relegation would not have been on the horizon. His apparent insistence on getting a sale valued at well over the club's value is criminal. However maybe relegation will also hit him where it hurts...in his pocket as our value will I suspect have dropped significantly.

Here we are, your infantile response to the owner, punish the club!!

Is that really the best you can come up with to get attention focused on the ownership issue.

I await your reply, with trepidation.

The post is about Rod, what’s your thoughts if the rumour is true and he is stepping away?

Nothing new at all here.
It has already been mentioned at the Fans Forum and it would appear that Redrobo is just guessing about Rod based on very little.

Are "rumour" and "common knowledge" now classed as twins ?

Neil states this as a fact yet no one else backs it up as yet, so let's not push a tireless and invaluable co chairman out eh?

What causes that is poor official communication from the club and that it's a leaky sieve in terms of all the "insider" information that is passed on from within the club to their friends/family, etc. Far more is "leaked" than is officially announced, which is completely unfair to all the long term fans who aren't within the "cliques" of people who know things from within.

There's no reason why an open secret like Graham and son leaving shouldn't be made official - they've obviously told lots of people so it's in the public domain.

The whole thing creates an "us and them" situation which is ripe for rumour and speculation (most of it turns out true!!).

Read your own post properly, you used Rods name as "clickbait" then said it common knowledge that Graham is leaving , wheres your proof?
