Neil Wainwright is to return to Barrow on a months loan to regain match fitness and should be able to play tomorrow evening against Fleetwood.

As much as I like NW he really should have been released last season and his wage (albeit reduced I understand) could have been spent together with those of both Arts and Wayne towards bringing in a proven striker.....

We've less strkers on our books than ever before and therefore very few options up front.

I think NW is a decent player. He seems to be able to beat his man with ease, but there is never a good enough end product.

Highly thought of at Barrow, as he was on his last loan spell there.

I certainly don't think we should have released him in the summer at all. I'm a big fan of Wainy's and think he has a lot of quality about him. Hopefully, this match experience will see him come back here strong and fighting for a first team slot.
