Technical Area

Technical Area

Shouldn't the "technical area" be named the "vacuous area" because it appears to be bereft of ideas and intelligence. At yesterday's game Barnet had three of their management team in occupation for most of the game and their contribution was seeing who could shout the loudest. One example - Barry Roache was preparing to take a goal kick and Barnet were set to defend it. The Barnet management were going berserk shouting at one of their players who was stood on the halfway line. They moved him back a yard, yes one yard, and were then satisfied. I love this type of coaching. On the Morecambe side of the area we had the usual arm waving and at one point even finger wagging at the opposition management team, looked a bit like a primary school playground. The reaction by management when Capaldi made a mistake and Barnet scored was simply to sit down, unlike the tirade that followed when the unfortunate Moss gave away a penalty a few weeks ago.
