All it needs now is some liquid GrowMore to make it go green!
Click on the above link to see their latest update.

Anybody been to the Arena lately to see how our pitch is progressing?

The pitch reminds me of Edgeley Park, home to Stockport County.

Evening Shrimps.

We take great pride in the fact that it's better than the Don Valley as it is now :D

The B2net pitch hasn't been seeded yet and won't be until the drainage system is complete, and then will be topped off with more sand and soil. Latest info suggests seeding is due to take place w/c 20/4/10.

Watching the progress of your place with interest, looking good now.

Now then Shambles...

20 April doesn't leave much time for the pitch to grass and be playable by the start of pre-season games. Are you guys confident that your comtractors can guarantee that the pitch will be OK?

By the way 'who are your pitch contractors? Wonder if it's White Horse like ours?'

We'll see. It'd have to be a pretty crap summer for it to be too late imo.

Our main pitch contractors are these guys http://www.pugh-lewis.co.uk/. I would like to think they know their onions!

Is yours down already? Turfed or seeded?

It's going to be seeded I understand. Our contractors are confident that all will be ready in time for pre-season games. As the developers of the Arena are the stadium sponsors it's in their interests that eveything is delivered on time.

Will be interesting to compare our respective playing surfaces mid season.

Despite all the banter between the clubs, I think their new stadium looks very nice, not sure they will be filling all 10,000 seats and hope they dont go the same way as Darlo but we shall see. Theirs is more of a looker whereas ours is probably more of a safer bet.
