Has been today unveiled as the new Shrewsbury Town manager, surprise surprise...not, after he succuesfully sold off his shares in Hereford last week thus ending his time as chairman. He returns to Shrewsbury after playing and managing them 30yrs ago when he took them to the quarter finals of the FA cup twice and got them promoted to the what is now the Championship in his first season with them. Expectations will now be high with the Shrews fans but then again they always are and they usually get disappointed.

A very good appointment for them, he has the experience of getting a team promoted out of this league. Maybe just what they need to take them that extra step think he will turn them into real contenders from been a bunch on nearly men.
