O/T Humax Freeview HD Box?

O/T Humax Freeview HD Box?

Postby Christies Child » Tue Jun 08, 2010 6:16 am

We've been thinking about getting one of the above to watch the World Cup.

Has anybody got one and more importantly has it improved their viewing pleasure?

At £140 from Richer Sounds it's £40 cheaper than elsewhere, but not sure if the cost is worth the 'so called' improvement.

:?: :?: :?:

I got one 18 months ago, £90 from argos(not HD, Though!!), Humax seemed to be the best, by all accounts.
Upgraded the software shortly afterwards, on account of noisy fan, that's been ok since.
seem to have good backup/website and owners forums.
It does freeze up very occasionally, but they all seem to do that.
problem is, it's to easy to record stuff, consequently it's full of cr@p i'll probably never watch!!

STILL TIME!!

We've had the HD one for around 6 months now, really easy to use and excellent quality.
