We have a pitch

We have a pitch

Postby Stanley Bowles » Sun May 23, 2010 8:17 pm

Looking out of my back bedroom,as i do many times as the Globe Arena is just looking at our back garden. On looking tonight ,as our beloved Christie looses her pitch the new beginning has gained greenery. They must have laid it ,as it looks quite lush ,this is progress ,role on next season :D :D

Took a final look at Christie Park this afternoon.

When it lies bare and all its areas exposed, it really does look tired and long past its sell by date.

Then I had a look at The Globe Arena.

Couldn't believe my eyes. :o :o :o

What was previously the outlines of a pitch appearing like a desert of sand, was now a sheen of green. Whatever type of seed the contractors have put down, seems to have responded to the recent warm weather and the sprinkler system which is now fully operational.

No doubt when Mike W and his assisitant take the next series of shots, the green carpet will be more exposed for all to see.

2hrs late s'pose its grown a bit longer
