Play off dates and KO times

OK, if like me you have been a plonker, and booked holidays in the next couple of weeks, you might want to take note of the following (all games live on sky):-

League 2 Play-off semi 1st leg:
One game on Sat 15th May KO 6pm other on Sun 16th May KO 1pm

League 2 Play-off semi 2nd leg:
One game on Wed 19th May KO 7:45pm other on Thur 20th May KO 7:45pm

League 2 Play-off Final (at Wembley):
Sunday 30th May KO 3pm

4th placed team will play 7th placed team with first leg at 7th home ground
5th placed team will play 6th placed team with first leg at 6th home ground

So therefore we could play the Shots if we beat them next week with the 2nd leg at home?

Seems a good way to 'sign off' at Christie Park....

:) :) :)

How many of us realised that the possible first leg of the play-offs is on the same day as the FA Cup final, albeit that the KO is 6pm?

Tough luck on those who have to travel to the away leg, irrespective of which club it is.

Mind you, i suppose supporting your own team comes before any FA Cup TV final. It certainly does for me, but if you are a fan of Chelsea or Portsmouth?????????

The FA cup final can sometimes be quite a dull affair anyway remember the final the dy before we played at Wembley.

Thankfully all games are on sky as the chances of me going to the away leg are somewhere between slim and none :(

Typical we will get to the playoffs the one summer when I have so much on it's going to be a nightmare to get to the games.

I think it's a tad unusual that the teams who finish top (ie 4th and 5th) play their 2nd leg home 'advantage' games on a Tuesday night?

I'm guessing their must be some reason for this (possibly logistical or a clash with other matches), but I'd have though that the 6th and 7th placed teams would play at home first on a weekday with the weekend fixture being reserved for the higher placed teams (like we had in the conference play-offs).

...*and I know it was a Monday, but it was a Bank Holiday weekend!
