Barry Roche please sign campaign !!!!

Best keeper we have ever had without a shadow of a doubt and irreplaceable IMO.

Joe was good for someone so young but Baz has every attribute needed from shot stopper to kicking.

Fingers crossed all is going well with the contract. To be fair I think I would be waiting to see what league we are in before putting pen to paper.

Yep. I think Baz must realise he has the reins in his hands now here - pretty assured to be offered a contract here - but keeping his options open 'til the last moment. Player of the season for me too!!! C'MON BAZ, PICK UP THAT PEN AND SIGN - PLEASE!!!

I just hope that it doesn't get into a matter of Baz wanting more than we can afford. But if it does let's hope that both parties can come to a sensible compromise.

We can guarantee Baz first team football. Possibly League 1. A move to a higher league club ie Championship may not deliver that assurance.

Sammy got it right when he said "best keeper in League 2." Just hope he realises the optimism and potential surrounding the club and signs!

We can afford a £12 million three-sided ground, but not the best goalkeeper we've ever had?

Sign him up....he was the difference yesterday and has been in so many games this season.

Just to buck the trend...

I'd love to see Barry sign and agree he's the best keeper we've ever had...

...BUT

we can't go for 'sign at all costs'. There has to be an 'affordable' level. For starters, there may be a 'knock on effect' where other players may see a huge gap between them and Barry at the top and want better terms themselves? Remember Chris Blackburn leaving us after he'd been offered more than any other player? Ended up a couple of seasons later as a bit part player at Aldershot? We didn't think we could replace him, yet by the end of the following season, we didn't even want him back. Yes Barry is more important than Chris was but we can't go for 'at all costs'.

As I say, I really hope Barry signs for us but if an agreement can't be reached, then so be it, good luck and thanks for the memories. Let's hope he gets a send off by picking up a winner's medal at Wembley!
