BBC Predictor

Postby thegentlegiant » Tue Apr 06, 2010 5:58 pm

I have done the predictor table thingy and here it is...

3 Bournemouth pts 84
4 Bury pts 78
5 Aldershot pts 75
6 Rotherham pts 75
7 Morecambe pts 74
8 Chesterfield pts 67

Let's see what happens though, a game at a time

Remain fixtures (my predictions)

win vs Rotherham
win vs Bradford
lose vs Notts County
win vs Dag & Red
draw vs Shrewsbury
win vs Aldershot

Its not inconceivable that it could come down to goal difference for seventh spot, if that's the case then we are in fairly good position as it stands.

Of the teams currently in the playoffs only Aldershot are better than us on +13 compared to our +9, Bury on -1, Chesterfield +2, Rotherham +6, can you imagine what it would be like if it came down to the last match level on points with another team for seventh spot both winning and on the same goal difference.

If it's level on GD then it goes to goals scored and we've scored more than anyone outside the top two.

Looking back at my prediction, I'm already wrong when it comes to goals scored. I also now don't believe we'll finish 8th if we only get another 8 points, though I could still be right about the placing itself.
