Anyone seen his goal yet yesterday? (sorry don't know how to post a link).

Another Baker screamer. Star man yet again in a poor Stockport team. Hope the sharks are circling for a big money transfer bid in January, PNE? We do have a sell on clause don't we?

Yes: £175,000 rising to £225,000 depending on appearances + sell on clause.

Stockport will want to keep him but with all their money troubles I think they will cash in if the right offer comes up

Supposing we went up and they came down. If we have a sell on clause, we could buy him back at a substantial discount?

It would be nice but I think he's come on again since leaving us. Very healthy scoring rate for a midfielder and in the televised mtach at Tranmere he was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch and ran the show.

Championship bound surely, must be catching the eye of many further up at the moment.

top end too IMO, he will be worth between 750k-1.25m

Go figure.

For much of that time he was in and out with an injury problem that I think has now been sorted through surgery and during that period was not always as effective as he could be - at a time when we really needed everyone to be on their game for 90 minutes as we found our way around the Football League.

I was watching Leeds last night and thought 'Mmmm? they're crying out for a bit of creativity out wide... Grayson will be well aware of him..... they are going up and will need new players... not short of cash...'

I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Are you having a laugh? While there is no doubt that he is a good player, he will be 27 on Boxing Day and he only has 2 and a half seasons of lower league football behind him. If anyone offers Stockport half of those amounts they will snap their hands off

Current form is current form Richard, prices for players going up these days (granted in the prem) a team like Peterborough, Preston or Leeds like shrimper said could come in with a wealthy offer. But i'd cap it around 500k not a million.
Get over it ;)

What fee he'd attract depends on how many clubs are interested. I mentioned Leeds because they will have real (and realistic) ambitions to go through the Championship after they've got promotion.

If they think a player like Baker can help them do that (even if they don't think he's necessarily Prem quality) then it'd be worth a big punt.

You might not agree but taken note of recent transfers in league 1, I really would not be surprised....only time will tell and you will either be correct or I will be wrong if I am wrong fair dues but we will see :D :D
