I think 2500 is been a bit optimistic on a Tuesday night - also carlisle just had two away games in a row so cant see them bringing more than 500 - 700

2 League wins on the bounce and a great result up in Cumbria. An exciting evening match to look forward to with the prospect of playing Norwich City in Round 2 of the FA Cup in our last season at Christie Park in a game that would be broadcast over the internet at 5.15 on a Saturday.

If you can't get excited about that then

We need a 12th man. Where are you? Where are you? Let's be having you! Come On!!

ps have we ever kicked off at 5.15 before?
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

I have a strange feeling that this will be nearer 3000 than 2000, the fell good factor is returning ;)

night matches are popular with some people and Carlisle's only just over a hours drive away and one stop away[Oxenholme] then Lancaster away on the main line to London from Glasgow

What about Penrith - do trains not stop there anymore ha ha (and can you get back on train after match especially if its extra time and pens)

i just remember Inter City and the good old British Rail, and it was still the same on Virgin in 1998 but with shit loads of delays the last time i was on it, took over 5hrs as oppose to just over 3hrs of old

London Euston -> Watford Gap -> then id fall asleep -> Crewe -> Wigan -> Preston -> Lancaster -> Oxenholme -> Carlisle -> Glasgow and vice versa

Now with me sad hat on...Route was in BR days

London Euston, Watford (no stop at watford gap...which is some distance from Watford), Milton Keynes, Rugby, Stafford, Crewe, Warrington Bank Quay, Wigan Wallgate, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme, Penrith, Carlisle, Lockerbie, Motherwell and Glagow central. At one time the trains used to divide at Carstairs Junction with one bit going to Glasgow and the other bit to Haymarket and Edinburgh.

WIth that I shall retire to my collection of old Ian Allen's!

would have thought it would be a bit too late should it go to extra time to get back on the train

Closest I can find from recent years (on official site), is the home leg of the play-off semi-final against Hereford Utd on Sunday 7th May 2006, which was a 5:35 kick off, and the same against York City on Monday 7th May 2007, a 5:00 kick off. :geek:
