A good day!

A good day!

Postby John L » Sat Sep 19, 2009 4:48 pm

Started off well by seeing the bus unveiled, meeting Waynaldo and Jimbo and most of the other players arriving pre-match. My lad Dom is happy having had his pic taken with each of the players (thanks lads!) and with Sven himself! I just hope Fraser forgives me for wishing him a good match!!!  After watching the Rotherham match last week I had a good feeling about today, but was surprised by how poor County were. Nevertheless, they were amazingly unlucky not to score more, particularly Schmeichel's overhead kick at the end :o and the rebounds off the post across the face of goal. Disappointed by their goal from the free kick as it looked like Jimbo won a clean tackle and to then be booked seemed unbelievable! Thank goodness we held on for the win! We deserved our luck and I'm so pleased that such a big home crowd saw a top performance by our lads. Hopefully they'll come back again to watch the Bradford and Shrewsbury matches for starters! Bradford should be crapping themselves!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Sammy just been on Sky Sports News sounding very pleased, unlike Ian McParland who, amongst other things, thought they should've been awarded a dead cert penalty and that the referee bottled it! At least we agree about the referee!!!

BTW, who was the happy italian guy with the flag? My money's on it being Negative Ned!!! ;)

he missed the obvious pen to us then as well did charlie parlie
thought there were two clear pens at either end for us and them
davies clearly handled the ball and their goal should have been disallowed

He was certainly causing a stir until a steward moved him to the back ~ I think he thought Sammy was Sven

The ref was poor. Did he have a bet on or something? Also let Campbell get away with everything.

Is he still alive!? He seemed ancient when I went there after leaving primary school, and that was well over a decade ago!
