Indies transport to Preston and Burton

Indies transport to Preston and Burton

Postby sgt major » Wed Jun 17, 2009 8:30 pm

We are running a coach to Preston on Tuesday 11th, leaving the York at 6pm. should cost £8.

I'm trying to get a lot of interest in our first away league game at Burton where we can give them our welcome to the Football League. We need 40 people to make it viable at £12 and probably leaving at 9.30am after a brekkie in the York.

Please - if you want to go on any of the trips can you let us know NOW. Two days beforehand when we have cancelled a 40 seater because of a lack of early commitment is not helping our away cause.
Cheers

They have come to me matey - I have started a booking form off here that we can syncronise with your booking system - it just helps the staff when they are taking the bookings behind the bar.

Sorry if I've confused. I sent it to Mick D as he started the thread.

I don't know, so many Micks and so few seats!

This could start to get very confusing....surely it makes sense to have just one person sorting it?

Or maybe you could set something online so you can both access and update the list?

Mick D (Sgnt Major) has a book at the York Hotel with all the names down for Preston and Burton, from what I can see Mick B is oblivious to what is going on  As per the opening thread Sgnt Major is aiming for a "big" coach, rather than a mini-bus that would end up being self drive by Mick B.

Now that is clear as can be I would suggest anyone who has posted on here to contact Mick D Direct at the York to confirm your name on the list(s), after all he may not have heard of people like Bare Ben

See what you've done now Martin, you've upset the locals already and a ball hasn't even been kicked!!

Now I'm at a loss what to do.

I've had my booking confirmed by Mick D. Do I now have to confirm it with you aswell Mick B?

If so, does this mean I could end up being allocated 4 seats instead of 2?

I've sent the whole town into turmoil and now might end up paying twice as much for the journey than I have to. It's a long season already and we're weeks away from the start!!

I thought I would give Mick B a hand as he is a hard working individual ;) and it doesn't matter who people book through as we actually speak on a regular basis throughout the season and synchronize our bookings. The reason for the early start is to get the bus full a few weeks beforehand, most people know when they are on hols, work etc. We are trying our hardest to fill these coaches so we can attempt to create a good atmosphere at away grounds. (Then those idiots at the FL gave us Barnet on a tuesday night  )

BTW -all bookings are provisional now until a deposit or the full cost is paid - all those who have booked can bring money into the York, or see Mick B at the pre-season friendly's.

Yes, thanks GG.

We still have seats available on these buses.

At Preston you will be dropped off right outside the away turnstile, no need to worry about finding somewhere to park and walking to the gate. No need to worry about traffic queues.

Burton Albions' first game game at home in the football league is a special occasion for them, as we know, let's go and help make it extra special. ;)

See top of thread for contact details.
EDIT: O.K there's no contact details at the top of the thread

York Hotel : 01524 425353

Mick Birch : 07878175774

We work hard to get these prices as competitive as possible, but need bums on seats, literally, for it to work.
