So a good day on the pitch yesterday,but once again the club shooting itself in the foot yet again with heavy handed stewarding.For example and not for the first time elderly supporters had their umbrellas taken from them before the game,although after comments were put on social media they were given back.Also reports again of elderly fans being body searched at turnstiles whilst younger fans not searched at all,what is this club doing? It is so embarrassing.I wonder if fans on the posh side get this sort of treatment,and what about the increasing number of 'freebie' fans who are getting in through contacts at the club,I thought all that was stopped!I hope that fans who were victims of the powermad stewards will complain to the club and the trust,only for them to swept under the carpet again!

It's laziness and the easy option to put a blanket policy in place. Yes I'm elderly, yes I get searched, do I want to be frisked? No. If it was raining like yesterday and I had my brolly I would not want it taken off me? No.
It does go on in Corporate as well, my friends and I go to Corporate on Tues night home games. Last time we went we were issued with our seat ticket as normal and a meal voucher that had to be handed in. I didn't think to much about it till I learnt people have had been having two lots of food. Now why not just catch those abusing the system and bar them. Someone must have noticed it was happing why not catch them and leave those who wouldn't dream of going up for two meals. Lazy and an insult to the rest.

Oh thankfully yesterday those on the Berlin Wall who had them didn't have there's taken off them.

If as happens sometimes it's a buffet then the 2 meals business is always likely to happen as some will take advantage of it. It's the same if you go for a buffet anywhere. A prime example is the Shrimp where folk go up to have extra meats and veg etc.

We recently had a buffet lunch at an Indian in Preston and there was so much choice that diners where queuing up to replenish their plates time after time after time. The same happens on cruise ships were it's buffets most of the time although of late cruise companies have now introduced a system where by you ask for whatever you wish rather than help yourself. Buffets on Celebrity X Cruises offered so many options that it's not surprising that the system was abused by some diners.

Billy Bodger, fans did have umbrellas taken off them yesterday pre the kick off but thankfully they were returned to them shortly afterwards as somebody in authority must have realised what they were doing was not right!

Makes you wonder what kind of tinpot outfit the club are using for stewards. What with confiscating umbrellas, frisking children, and frisking everyone in the seating area every game (never happened in the past 10-15 years). Seems to have all got to pot since the long standing chief steward left 2/3 years ago. Stewards actually used to be happy and friendly and chatty. Now it's like "rent a mob". Heaven knows where they're bussed in from!

My apologies, I was on the Halo but saw fans with brollies, I used to stand on there, why wouldn't you takes brollie on an afternoon like yesterday. Those who's job it is to look at those things. It is bad on afternoons like yesterday, as I've found out. The main reason this old softy is nowadays undercover.

If so, then why aren't most of the other L2 clubs we've played away this season. We've been to most, and not had to hand over our umbrellas nor been frisked more than a couple of times. And away supporters are more of a risk than home supporters. The club should know that there've been no flares, fights, etc in the home seated end for the last 15 years, and very few incidents in the home standing area either, and I can't think of any incidents on the Berlin wall. They clearly have a flawed risk assessment.
