Sounds like Gareth Ainsworth is leaving Shrewsbury to go to Gillingham

Rumours on Gillingham message board that Coley will be new Tranmere manager

Shrewsbury fans are fuming about Ainsworth after his “here for the long journey, to see this job through and get this club back where it belongs after the sale has gone through”. Some things sound familiar  Their sale appears to have stalled for whatever reason, Ainsworth only took the Shrews job because of his close relationship with the chairman altho it is way out of his comfort zone for commuting from his Reading base. When the Gills came knocking Shrews offered him the earth to stay with them but he declined & has moved back south but imo I think he didn’t like the management structure and working with or under a director of football as have a few before him. It’s a weird set up when you’re use to being the boss & in control, it’s the modern way I know but Ainsworth is a fossil use to the old ways. Sorry Shrewsbury but unlikely we will meet you next season when you drop back into league 2 as we will be dead and buried never to return to the efl

The only loyalty in football is from the fans

Managers and players alike leave if something better comes along

I would do the same if someone offered me 30 quid an hour instead of 20 quid an hour
