We really need to learn to pass the ball to our own players, far to many going astray. Still, we are frustrating Vale. Just hope that we can hold on. We have had the best chances, just wish one would go in! They just hit the post!

As a player, I like him, but he was VERY close to getting sent off for a second yellow, both foe dissent. And again, he was giving the ref grief, but again, it was a correct decision, Slew definitely fouled.

BRILLIANT last ditch defending by Tutonda as their player was about to shoot!

Vale well on top now. They've just hit the post, I thought it was in.

Again we fail to clear the ball and after all the effort for 88 minutes we give away a goal.
We were trying to wind down the clock, but it didn't work.

Now it's Vale winding down the clock. We keep giving the ball away. MADNESS.

Wind down the clock? Why oh why when we're in the position we're in?

Sad to say but that's Morecambe's adventures in the football league over...can't see where we're going to get the points to survive the drop.

depressing yet another 1 0 defeat, the lack of goals by not shooting is what is killed us apart from ownership seems a long time ago since went to Wembley when we went up
really bitter how our wonderful club has been treated

Yet another 1-0 loss. We huffed and puffed and had two great chances, but again it wasn't to be.
Tranmere with a seven point advantage now. We're level on points with Carlisle, but they have a game in hand. It's looking more like a battle for who ends up bottom.

As others said, why were we trying to wind the clock down at 0-0? We needed the win. Tranmere were drawing, so one point wasn't really helpful.

I'm usually very optimistic about our chances of a miracle but today's result and others that didn't go our way leave me with a feeling of utter despondency that our journey in both EFL 1 and 2 is sadly coming to an end.

The fault for me lies firmly at the door of an owner who is making money out of our situation.

To think we were 1 point from staying in EFL1 but it wasn't to be.

Until the owner sells the club I can't see how we will be a force in the National League BUT it can be done IF we can persuade DA to stay and somehow give him a budget that he can bring in the 5 or 6 quality players we so desperately need.

As for the games at home that are left.....let's go out with our heads held high. Play with no fear and just enjoy what is left of this bloody awful season.

As for next season.....if the BoDs read this post.....GET DA SIGNED UP NOW. I can't think of any other manager who is best suited to get us at least with a fighting chance to get back into the EFL....BUT it all hinges on the owner finally selling the club to an investor who wants to make a name for himself and our club. Other teams have bounced back.....WHY NOT US... :?: :?: :?:

2013/14 Bristol Rovers relegated
2014/15 Bristol Rovers promoted

2020/21 Grimsby relegated
2021/22 Grimsby promoted

Other teams HAVE bounced back, but it is rare. If we keep the same budget as we had this season, it will be a "bottom ten" National League budget.

I'm usually optimistic, but I think we're more likely to face another relegation than bounce back. 2026/27 is more likely to be National League North than League Two. And if Whittingham is still sucking the life out of the club, we won't survive.

With this "owner in charge" there's more chance of us suffering another relegation in 12 months than bouncing straight back.
