Not a penny more until Jason Whittingham is gone. It's that simple.

That is your won’t, in your argument and I’m sure your conscience is perfectly OK with that. You might not think it but I understand why you think that is the best road to take.

If you read my posts I hope that you understand that I believe with the trajectory we are on, we will probably, as long as Whittingham is Morecambe FC’s primary owner of shares and therefore it’s de-facto owner, we will end up out of the EFL.

The difference in our different positions is personnel to the individual and their actions. I will not criticise you or anyone else who takes the way you go, no more than I have for those who haven’t stayed with the Club since we dropped out of EFL league 1.

But your money DOES go to Whittingham. Look at the percentage of the club's income that goes to interest repayments. THAT is how you are giving money to Whittingham.

If we're relegated from the Football League, we're never coming back. We are far more likely to be relegated further. The only way to stop the rot is to get Whittingham out. If we're relegated, then going into administration to get rid of the parasite, needs to happen sooner rather than later.

If people choose to support the club by buying season tickets for the National League, that's absolutely fine, I'd try to convince them through rational debate, not insults, and I'd expect the same in return. Unless we avoid the drop, or Whittingham is gone soon, we will have this discussion for a while yet.

So how did that work out then?

Sadly it is a fact that we need to remain an efl club even though the odds are stacked against us. When we were promoted I don’t think anyone expected it, it was a fantastic achievement & I for one just couldn’t believe it but the club was not ready for promotion, Christie park needed so much money spending on it to improve its infrastructure and to meet efl requirements plus a lot on upkeep that it was just not feesable to remain and Peter Mc set about moving us. Then came the financial downfall which hit our plans and let’s face it we’ve been struggling ever since. Our promotion to league 1 was unbelievable for a club of our size but we did it and on merit too but in hindsight was probably a step too far. Which ever league we have been in either 1 or 2 we’ve always had the lowest budget and our current one compared to others is just pathetic and I don’t think we even match the top half of the national league hence it’s important we remain in the efl because if we are relegated our budget will drop even further because the club as a whole is not generating enough income/revenue. We need other income streams coming in, we need offices over the open terrace to generate some income in rent but who’s going to pay for them? If they do, can we access them, is it our land? We need to get into the US or India to grow our club income from out there but that’s easier said than done, we need someone with connections to make all this happen and for those wanting Derek out, get real, realise where we are and how we are struggling, Derek is thankfully stopping because of Rod, not the money, not the job, but because how Rod gave him that 2nd & even 3rd chance. If Derek goes we are right in the poo because no other bugger is going to take on this difficult job, remember Derek will be on a pitiful salary as far as football managers go. I sadly can’t see a good end in sight but I am still clinging on to some hope Derek might just pull it out of the bag……..I hope

I truly cannot believe we have had 18 years in the FL, including 2 years in L1. The 2 trips to Wembley and all the cup and league ties. 89 grounds visited. A lot to be thankful for, and I am grateful for it all. All good things come to and end. My only hope is we don't get relegated again to National League North.

I gave up my season ticket this season. I've been to 2 games this season the games were that good I cant even remember who we played but I think it was 2 losses. When I was a season ticket holder I always thought we had a chance but now it's dreadful, boring and depressing. I'm not blaming the players, fans or board it's all due to our dire owner who seems to want us to fail and I believe we will be relegated probably in last place..

Could be right and that’s sad, hopefully you come back a little bit more.

Can't believe all the doom and gloom on this thread. We are 3 points from being out of the drop zone. Get behind the lads and let's see what happens. Nothing will change on the ownership until at least the summer.

The real reason for the 'doom and gloom'!
