Postby Redalert1970 » Sun Feb 16, 2025 4:28 am

Just been watching a Carlisle video on you tube and it says we are due a point deduction. ???

Is this true or does he mean the suspended one we have got at the moment ???

seem to recall a story about suspended points, and basically aslong as there were no more late payments we’d be ok?

but dont be surprised if it happens again.

Carlisle now in panic mode and clutching at straws?

Personally I can't envisage a scenario where we fail to pay wages on the dot, this season at least. With roughly half a million banked from the FA cup run and some large away attendances pending, Walsall, Barrow and Carlisle, I would have thought that we have more than enough to cover outgoings. I also believe that the EFL monies are paid in segments throughout the season with some more due soon.

When the EFL lifted the embargo and we started signing players again they must have been satisfied that we were currently OK financially?

We currently have a suspended 2 point deduction which will be activated if we fail to notify the EFL of another late payment to HMRC.
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

Won’t change a thing for Carlisle, from information form the Club we are financially strong for the rest of this season. It will only be human error if we pay late, surely that won’t happen again

Why would the board be releasing statements when nothing has happened?
Because Carlisle are putting 2 and 2 together?

This is within the BoDs power to assure us all that such a point deduction is not going to happen. The sale of our club is NOT within the BoDs power to know with any certainty the thinking or future actions of the owner.

I can imagine the outcry from us all including myself if a points reduction was to kick in for failure to honour payments etc. Kick the rumour into the long grass NOW.

To go on and on about the problems and so called lack of communication from ALL parties is in my mind a complete waste of time.

What can the Board say that hasn't already been said numerous time over the past

Now who said this? Oh yes it was you lol

The club can't react to every podcast rumour with a statement. Carlisle fans know that their club is in the mud and are clutching at straws. Just enjoy the back to back home wins and look forward to tuesday instead of trying to cause problems Neil
