It's the "Biggest Transfer Window" in our History!

If we dont get this right, we might aswell start preparing for life with Jason Wittingham in the NL.

And then National League North
How far would we sink before Whittingham is gone from our club?

So how did that work out then?

I said at the time when these new buyers announced their potential arrivals that this window would show what sort of owners they could be. If they were serious about buying the club and had real ambition they would have backed us more than they have. The 160k is a 160k more than we would have had without them but surely if they had proper financial clout, they would have found more than that. Carlisle and Accrington are paying fees and bringing in quality as well as quantity but we are relying on Derek to work another miracle.

It’s Wed and we still have not announced anybody else arriving, that’s worrying, are we going to play Colchester and Bradford without this new striker arriving?

I do wonder how we do in training when it comes to our strikers, we have been short on goals all season, Moyes had his strikers on extra finishing training and they got three goals!

When you lose 8 games 1-0 it’s frustrating, it seems we cannot compete with other clubs, who have, as said many times before, who have been active in getting in new strikers. Have we underestimated how much players are asking in wages, because it seems Derek doesn’t have enough funds.

Berlin Waller is right, if our prospective new owners were serious they should have given us more money for the transfer window.

They have to prove to the EFL that they not only have enough money to buy the club but also enough to maintain it for at least 2 years and I think they've proved that they haven't got enough or they're not interested in funding it properly.

Totally in agreement with Berlin Waller about the funding of transfers by .....'who knows'.

The difference between us and Carlisle and Accrington is that in both cases their owners are putting cash into their clubs. Carlisle have signed almost a new team from money put into the club by their American owners.

Accrington have an owner who it would appear is using some if not all of their FA Cup money into signing players.

Unfortunately our BoDs are unable to do likewise due to the requirement to fund our club without the extra money possibly coming from....'who knows'....

It's our BoDs choice to do so and I for one will not be too critical of their intentions. BUT they know that DA needs funds to give us a fighting chance in our relegation battle' Unless DA is given funds from somewhere then it's looking very bleak for our survival in EFL2 and as a consequence our long term survival in whatever league we find ourselves in.

Numerous clubs who were EFL members when we got promotion have seen their survival in the minor non league world......can't imagine what will happen to ourselves long term if we follow..... :( :( :(

Surely it's beneficial to the club and , so called owner and possible new owner to put every penny they can spare to try to keep us in league 2... i think if we are relegated then the wheels will truly fall off the club and who know what league we will end up in..and I know people will say we don't have the funds available, we'll I'm saying find them if this club is to stay in league 2.

Small chance we might be waiting until last thing Friday to announce Dallas so he can be a bit of a wildcard against Colchester?

Nothing happening, the website is showing the same page about the young lads coming back from being out on loan. So do we have to take it nothing can be announced because nothing is happening!!

Or it’s a deliberate act to windup the fans and get them posting crap (like this), by keeping them in the dark, surely not!!

Today Derek is usually interviewed and it’s posted on line so at least something else should be on OWS.

There again with my luck the new strikers will be announced tonight, but sometime strange things happen and because you mention it, it happens???

Let’s hope we win Saturday and Tuesday night

Well it worked on our OWS, they have finally changed the page!! Unfortunately nothing to do with a new striker

It’s information about tickets for our away game at Notts County. Oh I forgot we had to go there  well hope eternal and all that, at least it is on Feb 7th, so our new attacking force will be in place and raring to go.
