Taken from BBC Barrow Social.

From circa 11 minutes.

Felt that referee gave us everything and had us penned in for 75 minutes.

Strong stuff they are smoking across the Bay.

I feel cheated that we were not able to coast to a routine 2-0 win.... its not been that easy for us for a long time. They didn't deserve anything from the game; the late goal that they did score was undeserved and gives the impression that the match was closer than it ended up being.

Definitely on something strong. What a whinger their manager is. They looked shell shocked after our goals and never really got over them. I listened for a few minutes more and even the pundits were criticising his tactics and substitutions. Shame that we didn’t keep a clean sheet, their goal made it look closer than it really was.

I thought Barrow looked a decent side, it was certainly a more entertaining game of football than that October game on the Holker St cabbage patch that night.
They moved the ball well, used the width and got in dangerous positions. However, their crossing and final ball decision making didn’t happen on the day, which can happen and has to us recently. Cole has that one shot that Mair blocked with his feet in the first half.
Thought we worked hard and bossed the first 15, then they got a foothold, but at 30 minutes we started to pin them back and created more half chances, so we defo were better side 1st half at 2-0.
Second half they made numerous changes, went to a back 4 from 3 centre backs about 20 mins in and we broke well and again created a couple of decent chances, Slew was a hairsbreadth off making it three.
Then with about 75 gone, we visibly tired, Charlie B was running on empty as was Joe Adams.
Personally I was hoping to see JJ make an appearance but credit Yann and Jordy both added some much needed legs and experience.
Then Mair stopped a shot which rebounded off Whitehead to give us all squeaky bum time, but we held on. And rightly so, we deserved it after defending well and scoring early.
Barrow will be difficult for anyone in the playoffs but best side I’ve seen have been MK Dons. Could be an interesting few weeks.

Thought we were pretty comfortable for most of it. Bit of pressure early on, capitalised on their defensive errors, then did well to hold them at arms length. Dug in defensively very well and were much more solid than we have been at times, and punctuated it with a few spells of possession/pressure of our own to take the heat off our defence.

Thought Wild's subs were poor. Thought they had a bit of joy from their centre backs stepping into midfield, but then Wild changed shape and this didn't really happen - became a bit more one dimensional hitting it long etc. And putting the lad they'd brought on at HT to play in attacking midfield (number 11) at right back against Slew was mental.

Thought the performance was a nice blend of some of the resolute characteristics Derek had drilled into us, combined with a bit of the possession work that Ged's been doing. Very positive. Can't really think of any proper scares. Wild chatting nonsense saying they dominated.
