Looks like Oxford might be safe after tonight’s result especially with their superior goal difference. Only team we can catch is MK Dons who have 2 tough fixtures left and that’s assuming we win both our games! Why oh why have we left it so late before upping our performances?!!!

Cheltenham doing Oxford a huge favour. Perhaps they don’t want to have to travel to Morecambe next season!!

Not the best results tonight but at least the picture is becoming clearer. Hopefully Bolton can nick a point

We are in the position we are because of the form since Xmas plus totally inept away performances

There was always a reasonable chance that Oxford would turn it around given their improved performances under Manning. If it wasn't tonight, it likely would have been against FGR on Saturday. IMO it was always a bit of an outside chance catching them, especially with their superior goal difference.

Now they've got that win, Accrington winning is bizarrely helpful. Had they failed to do so tonight, they were basically relegated (max points 44/45, wouldn't have been enough). They'd have felt pretty flat going into their game with Cambridge on Saturday, but now they'll be well up for it given they've got a decent chance of catching MK, ourselves and Cambridge.

The task for us remains the same - we have to win our final two games. Catching Oxford was always an outside chance. It's advantageous that Accrington (who can't catch us if we win our final two) have something to play for against Cambridge. If we win on Saturday, MK lose to Barnsley and Accrington beat Cambridge, it is entirely in our hands on the last day.

Barnsley is the weird one. They are safely in 4th place. Can't drop to fifth, incredibly unlikely they can climb to third. Do they rest key players ahead of the play-offs? Or, having been thumped tonight, do they aim to get back to winning ways, in order to take momentum in to the play-offs? Mentally, they need to get the 0-3, home defeat to Ipswich out of their system ASAP. Physically, they may need a breather.

We know we need the win on Saturday. Lincoln lost today, ironically, to Burton, for the first time in a while, which may help. Burton could be our saviours, as they play Cambridge & Milton Keynes, but are so inconsistent, who knows what they will produce.

Barnsley to beat Milton Keynes and Accrington to beat Cambridge by the same score as we beat Lincoln would put it into our own hands.

Worried when I saw the team sheet, but should have been enough to beat that mob.

Referee had a poor game, let Accy get away with time wasting from the start, and I get it park the bus see the game out we have been there over the last few seasons doubt we would have got away with all they did. Then the ref adds just 2 minutes in 1st half and 4 in the 2nd, one goal kick in the 2nd half took over a minute.

The selection IMHO was wrong, and IE has become more vocal since the PJ trophy win, and every time he does this it has an adverse reaction on the pitch. best player at the club in controlling a game Lee sta on the bench for the game.

Terrible goal to concede but you need to be at it in these games and we were not. Still it has not been a terrible result for Morecambe and teams at the bottom have something to fight for when they paly each other. Good luck against Lincoln.

Tonight doesn't change very much.

I think Oxford were always likely to escape.

I didn't expect an Accrington win at Bolton.

Our targets to be above are Accrington , Cambridge and MK but it looks like 4 points won't do it , we have to win both games.

In some ways, Accrington beating Bolton helps us, as they will still feel they can escape, but they need to beat Cambridge for that to happen.
